Hi all,

Does anyone know what kind of progressive system I have (see picture)?  Scratch Head

As far as I can tell it is not marked. It appears to be a multi display system of some sorts.

I would like to get some info on it to see if I can install it on my S+ slant top.

Thanks,

Rob

That's the IGT progressive that plugs into the 15 pin connector that's already in your top box. It's called a mini Photon. It goes behind the top glass where the top award or "Progressive" sticker is. There were some good install threads on the old site, it doesn't look like they made it over to the new site, though.

But you need to be aware that the wiring is different in the 15 pin connector between the slant top and the upright slot machines. You need to make sure the wiring in the 15 pin on your cable is correct for the slant top before you plug it in!

Well, I'm told it came from an upright S+. So, I plugged it into my upright. It looks like one display has issues, but it looks like it works (see pic).

Anyone know what to do from here to get it to work?

Rob

It's all in the test switch setup menu #9:

http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=2652.0 or check your PSR. Do you know what game chip you have?

Thank you very much!

Gald to help.

You know you're a goner now, right? You won't be happy until your progressive is bigger than a billboard.  yes yes yes

Believe me, I bought one of those mini Photons, and from that point, it was ONNNN! I've got CHAMIs, CHAMII+es, CON1s, gateways, a CON2I, and a Supreme driving a 1x3. arrow propeller arrow

My next conquest is a 2x3 display for my Supreme, haven't found one yet.

Well, I need to get this one up and running first. Do you know if I need a set chip to change option 9? Hard to tell from the other post you referred me to. I think the only set chip I have is the BV #15...

You'll need a set chhip to enable the progressive. You won't need it to set the progressive up. The progressive enable is in group 2, zero page options that start on page 4, the setting is <0> [31], the 4th menu option on page 5.

If you use an older game chip ie 731 you can get into option 9 without the use of a set chip.
SET90 otherwise.....
