I have to vent...I can't beleive what some people will pull!
I sold a EXTREMELY nice Gameking to a local here. Had them play it, everything worked fine.
I POINTED OUT that you can hear the fan in the top box. Asked them to listen to that.
They reply, no problem..its not that loud (its not really) They get the machine home and set it up
Machine runs fine.WIFE (who played it at the house) now has a hissyfit.Fan is too loud!!!
Request.....
COME TO THEIR HOME AND REPLACE THE GOD DAMN FAN WITH A QUIETER UNIT!!!!
SON OF A BITCH!!!!!
TOld him to return the machine, full refund...never again!
You bend over backwards, give them a great deal, be open and honest. What do you get????
ABUSED! For some odd reason people think if your nice/polite/honest and accomodating that
you are STUPID and a god damn floormat......
Thanks for letting me rant/rave....

After the last machine I sold, I'm seriously considering having buyers sign a simple purchase agreement that states that they understand that they are buying the machine as-is, where is, with no warranty, and once it leaves the house it is their property and has no further association with me.  Having read your rant, I'm now more sure than ever that I want to do that.

Well,  I have gotten the same thing.   Priced a few games at give a way prices as it was then there were some that even tried more.  I know the economy is hurting but come on-I priced accordingly.  I do not see how anyone sells those high dollar s+ etc. on flea bay at all.  Yes I know they offer some kind of magical warranty-ok.  I could care less about a warranty myself as I went thru that shit about 3 years ago and that is exactly what it was.  Also see why I do not ship any of these now?.  Works perfect here and too much can go wrong in the transport.  I would rather whoever come and scratch, sniff, play and be on there merry way with the thing AS-IS working on site and as described.  If you are practically going to give a machine away so to speak for the money it has to be that way.  Anyway I see myself getting on a rant here and I am going to stop- ttth.  Now -wait- ttth If you charged a Left or even for that matter a Right NUT for the game -you better get your ass over there and put that fan in-- Cry Laughing Cry Laughing Son of a bitch ---@#**#@###@**.- Cry Laughing.  Later pawn man,  Barry.  ps--- Merry X-Mas----- Rudolph Lites Lites Lites Lites Lites Lites.

Kirk,
My hats off to you sir!

"call me when you get the other $99"... bust gut laughing classic
are you originally from New Jersey?
That's how so many merchants are doing there..I love it.

I used to buy my lunches from a sidewalk cart everyday...
no matter what they had or what is was...whether it was a couple of hotdogs or a sausage or a cheeseburger...
It was always..."fi dollah, fi dollah, fi dollah."... rotflmao

I found it best to sell my machines at auctions, like arcade auctions. People go nuts when bidding at auctions and all sales final.

In a sense these days I am finding it better to just rip 'em apart and re-cycle them and build diff. games on a lot of them.  I cannot compete nor would I try on some of these games -Espicially the base s-2000's.  I am better of keeping those for future experimentation.  The classics however I do not fool with,  Those stay just the way they are.  Uniman you can do the flea-bay auction--- Cry Laughing Crazy Tongue Out.  B.  As a note just over a year ago we were looking at on average 6-800.00 on a s-2000 --look what has happened----Dirt-Cheap so to speak.

There are 2 classes of slot consumer.
Ones who don't ever want to know anything about it but expect it to work all the time with no maintenance.
And people like us who have to destroy it to build it better and understand how to make the slot machine do what it was not designed to do.

S+ Category 1 price 1200.00 no warranty
Category 2 price 250.00, make a friend for life.
Nuff said. -R

I've never bought nor sold a machine on eBay!
Was talking about local auctions. I sold several machines that way. Each had a manual and each had the NLG site as tech support. Made sure each machine was in proper operation and made sure each one was powered up for demonstration.
That always worked good for me. No annoying calls for coin jams, etc.

I've worked on Uni's and the owners told me they payed over a grand for it 10 years ago! Imagine that!
