I have an IGT triple double diamonds machine. When I first got it,Ohio gaming helped me clear the error codes. The machine worked sometimes but I often had to push the reset switch repetedly to get it going. Now the bottom yellow candle flashes quickly all the time.  The machine seems to reset itself when first turned on. The reels tense up and then spin but the yellow candle keeps flashing.  I got some slack in the door optics and held them together with the door nearly closed.  The light on the comparitor came on but candle still flashes. I tried the switch on the coin optics and it lets me play one game okay..The switch on the cash door tests ok.  There are no error codes .What else shoild I try?? thanks

First of all, welcome to NLG! applause

The candles usually flash...it's a signal to the eye-in-the-sky cameras that
someone was just inside the machine because the door was opened....usually.
To clear the candle, close the door and play one complete game...
the candle should go out...
if not report back and we'll take it from there!

Open the door, look at the "Coins Played' window on the display...
It should say "0". When you close the door, it should have a "1", "2", or "3"...
depends on how many coins the machine accepted the last time it took any coins.
If not, then your door optics are not lining up...
you may need to adjust them....
make sure the latch is in the fully "down" position when the door is closed.

If your "Coins Played" number changes when you close the door,
then the problem might lie with the coin acceptance dial on the coin comparitor.
To adjust this, open the door, using a small screwdriver,
turn the dial on the coin comparitor all the way counter-clock-wise
then turn it clockwise a quarter turn.
Close the door and see if it accepts coins.

Thank you so much!!  I adjusted the comparitor as you said and it is working fine. Now I can move on to changing the machine to taking quarters instead of tokens and getting the bill acceptor updated to the new bills. THANKS AGAIN

It can be a fairly simple job to change over from tokens to quarters.
Simply take out the token slug in the comparitor and replace it with a quarter.
If your tokens are of the quarter size. (24mm diameter or .944 inches)
you should be good to go. assuming your hopper is setup for quarters

If your tokens are larger like Dollar size tokens then you may need to swap out the coin shelf,
and pinwheel as well as the coin in slot.
