E2000 with credit feature

I have a Bally E2000 with the credit feature on it. "All wins paid to credit" Problem is someone had 9999 credits on it and hit the cash out button. Question is  - Can the game be reset or cleared so I don't have to run 9999 quarters through it
I do have a clear chip for the E2000 but can"t find the instructions on how to use it.

the clear chip may clear the credits - replace the P1 eprom with the clear chip - turn on machine - meter will display a 5 in the left most position - then increment 6, 7, o    -  turn machine off and replace the P1.
I am not sure if the credit amount is stored on the MPU or the credit board.

I tried the clear chip that I have for the  E Series with no luck. Were would the credit board be

the credit module is located in the top of the machine is connected to the credit meter display.
