My monte Carlo comes up with the 9.1.NC also. I've been told it's got something to do with the progressive, but I'm not so sure. When it does it the roulette bonus wheel spins slowly backward till the error clears and I haven't been able to identify exactly what I've done to clear it because you have to close the door to reset the machine after you wiggle and poke at stuff bawling bawling

Do not know anything about Ballys but this is what I found in my library.
Hope it might help.

Can anyone lead me in the right direction on this? I have a triple paytime that will flash code 5.5.91 then 2.0. then 9.1.NC. Thanks for the help in advance!

First off was this machine just pulled from a casino ????
a little more info on it's history would help

5.5 check the cash can make sure it's fully seated
2.0 coin in jam, sounds like a coin is stuck
91 communication error must have been hooked up in the casino
have seen this error when hooking up a progressive with wrong setting in the bally11d menu although you don't have a progressive
off the top of my head can't remember the menu #
I think you need to get rid of the 91 first before the others

Personally I would start from scratch and ram clear the machine and set it back up
but that's just me.

The 91 error is your biggest hurdle to get rid of first
which can be done in the 11d bally menu if you choose not to ram clear the machine
then work on the other error's.

This error says the MPU and the RCU are not communicating. The RCU is what controls the ball in the top box. The RCU module is located hehind the top glass in a small metal box connected to the back wall. The top box ball will spin counter clockwise until this communications lnk is established. First the cable in front of the MPU board has to be connected. This is the communications link between the S6000 MPU and the RCU. Also DSW1 switch 5 has to be on to tell the S6000 it has a secondary game. The ball in the top box is ran by a S6000 reel module that has a connector modified to fit in the top box. Hope this info helps.

I agree with what the others are saying about needing a full clear and reset up of the MPU settings, However....this game type from Bally clears differently than others.  The top box bonus game is separate and needs to be cleared in addition to the MPU.

Two things to look at here.  With the machine turned on...what code or information is in the top box "credit won" window? Take a look at the right side of your box.  Notice there are two additional jackpot keys up high and towards the rear.  This is how you clear the top box.  Let me know what code you are getting first and then can help you from there.

Jim, as far as MY machine, it always turns on fine. It'll be 15-30 minutes usually before it acts up. Then I start futzing with plugs in the top box and closing the door to test it. Eventually it works. Thanks for the help Hail

Thanks for the replys I have been tied up with Thanksgiving and all.
Yes the machine is straight from a casino.
Came with coin slot blocked and compaitor removed.
It was working at this time.
I added a compaitor and all the guts to make it take coins, it had a hopper all ready also a printer.
It was taking coins and playing just fine until....wife was playining it and all of the sudden thoes codes pop up.
I have a friend who I belive has the clear chips, I will try a saferam clear and go from there.
I was told it takes clear chips U28 and U43.

thanks for the help I will keep everyone updated.

Joshmail, that's kinda weird because mines the same story. Worked great till I added coin handling. I tried taking the comparitor on mine back out to see if it was the problem, but it did it again with it out. The guy I bought it from in TX gave me clear chips and a manual on disc with it so I'll do research and let you know if I have any success

You might check your 11 d settings under "69" to make sure you have the correct comparator type selected for what you are using.
