As part of my project to be able to quickly swap game themes by using spare MPUs and swapping the eeprom, I can change a game in just a few minutes. Except for the belly glass that needs a little more time to take the light assembly off/on. So, has anyone here had a generic belly glass made? Not necessarily for this purpose, but maybe for some other reason. And if so, got any pictures. As an alternative, is there any existing game that the belly glass could be generic enough to work for anything?

Belly glass with 25c on it?

From an existing game or are you talking custom? I'm not sure if I would want a denomination on it though.

Off hand I can think of maybe going to your local sign shop and see
What they can do with some real glass or Plexiglas.

Vinyl cutting and printing has come a long way in the last 5 years.
Anything from a simple design, or logo or your name.

It's not a matter of having it made. I was looking more for ideas of what to put on it. I was thinking of something similar to this, but with out the 'what happens in Vegas...' line. But I already have a lot of Vegas paraphernalia and not sure if I would want yet more.

This is my suggestion Poppo,
I've already done this to my S2000 where it was too difficult to get game specific glass.
Except, I utilized the top box area.
I see no reason why my idea cannot be used into the belly glass area...

1) I would take high quality, high resolution photos of the various
belly glasses of the different games you wish to install.
Many members would be glad to help you out should they not want to
part with their glass but have a good camera!

2) Pull out the fluorescent lighting from the belly area and
throw it in the garbage or sell it on ebay.

3) Install a used 21" diagonally-measured wide screen LCD into the belly area
with a custom made shroud and mounts.
You can get these things cheap on craigslist or fleabay any day.

4) Mount a cheap ebay $75 laptop with the loaded photos
to the back of the LCD panel.

5) Utilize the 115Vac wiring formerly reserved for the fluorescent ballast -
as power for the computer and LCD.

6) Have the LCD display your present game theme using
    a Mikrosoft Office PowerPoint show.

If you've installed a wireless mouse and keyboard fob onto the laptop - you'll never
have to change or buy a belly glass again...

Logitech sells a presentation pointer for under $40.

It comes with a USB fob. You use the forward and back button to move through a powerpoint presentation.

When I first saw this post it reminded me of IGT's generic slot machine. Anyone remember the black and white slot? Believe the belly glass said SLOT MACHINE. It was a clone of Wild Cherry.

You could also get one of those Vegas DVDs (subsitute Grand Canyon, Sanfranciso or any other tourist DVD) and play it on loop back.
Your possibilities are pretty much endless.

Yeah! A super large photo picture frame would work too!
They play anything you upload to them and stick it on the wall in the hallway -
only this time, you'll be sticking it in the belly glass area!
I actually video taped a section of a show from T.V. onto my powerpoint.
I did one better later and recorded the part I wanted from t.v. onto my DVD recorder
and transferred the whole bit to Winblows movie maker, edited it to what I wanted
and transferred that into the Winblows Office PP show.

Now it plays on the LCD screen along with other short video clips...like Jay said -
it's pretty much endless what you can display on it!
I wish I had a program that could make certain video clips play when the Jackpot or a
big time payout hits.
I'd like to have it trigger to play during certain machine gameplay...I'll figure that out later... stir the pot / get cooking

Yep, I saw it once.  Good luck trying to search for it on the Internet!  Smiley  (Searching for "Slot Machine" gives about eight billion results.)
