Hi everyone,

I went into the menus and turned the Attract volume down to 0 (zero) -- see the attached photo.  Yet the attract sounds remain.  Any ideas?

Mark

Are your speakers coming off the audio amp board on the back wall of the topbox or are they plugged directly into the back of the LCD? If you're plugged directly into the LCD I don't know that you can change the volume because I have mine that way and there is only one control for LCD volume. If your speakers run through the amp board then you've got an issue someone with more knowledge than me will have to offer advice on. Scratch Head Hope this helps yes

Thanks for your help!  Hail  Indeed the speakers were connected to the LCD.

I wonder if your game has 2 attract sounds?
One for the S2000 machine and one from the Buck Ahoy game in the LCD software?

I'm not sure.. The only attract sound (ocean/waves) is during a video animation.  Other than that the machine is perfectly quiet.

The MPU has it's own sounds, but you lose access to these when you bypass it by plugging speakers directly into the LCD. The LCD has all sounds programmed at set base levels with a single volume control for all it seems. On the other hand, it gets rid of that annoying buzzing sound in the speakers that S2000's are known for. If you always leave at least 1 credit and or one penny (in the case of a multi-denom machine) on the machine then you won't have problems with attract sound.

is there a way to adjust the volume if the speakers are plugged into the lcd screen? If not, how would I go about adjusting the volume to a higher level?

Thanks,

The boards that have the buzz are the 501(any revision), 502(any revision), and 504A boards, never a problem with my 504B or 1270 (enhanced) boards.
I have never seen a 503 board, not even sure if they made a 503 board.

If you think the only sound you should here out of the speakers is the music or spin tones, not quite true.
There is also simulated motor sound that is generated when the reels are spinning, the music or spin tones are louder than it is.

yes I have heard that buzz that others have come across.
if you have it on a 504B double check the harness that connects from the machine to the amp (10 pin connector) also make sure the 2 jumper wires on that connector are going to the right pins.
Those jumpers configure the amount of attenuation that the inputs get. DO NOT mess with them.
if you cut or otherwise disconnect those jumper wires you will notice the buzz real quick.
