OK, pro's. Before I go totally insane please advise me what's going on. I guess I am getting the sickness that I feel that some of you might already have. Maybe what I am going through are the early signs of an uncontrollable hobby.

Here is my case. I made a deal with my wife when we first brought home our first slot machine that if any one hits the jackpot I can change out the game with another one. I promised her that I would wait till that happened. I was really hoping that if I played it a couple hours everyday it would hit. Two months past, still no jackpot. Thinking that it could be anytime now, I bought my replacement game kit. Three months, no jackpot. In the meantime, I went and bought another slot machine. I then convinced my wife that if any one of these slot machines hits I can change the game. Four months, no jackpot on either one of them. OK while I am waiting, I will install backlit reels, multimedia sound boards with neat SIMMs cards. Both machines now have great visual and sound effects. Five months, no jackpot since I promise my wife.

Here is the accounting Slot machine (1) 34,404 in  30,270 paid out  pre set at 89%
Slot machine (2) 12,351 in  10,846 paid out  pre set at 98%

Questions: Are we talking months? Or years? Before a jackpot hits….
Here is another question. Are you all waiting too? And does this lead to more slot machines while we wait on the jackpot?? I do find this hobby fun and I have learned a lot, but I would like to know what kind of odds I am up against before I fill up my house with more slot machines.

I'm Jason, and I'm a slot/poker machine-aholic.  It's been three minutes since my last inquiry to get another game component.  I can't stop.  Last month, a Triple Lucky Sevens, Crystal Sevens, Double Diamond Deluxe kit.  Sold the TL7's and a RWB Big Times Pay kit.  Just this weekend alone, Crystal Sevens reel glass, a Triple Diamond Haywire kit, a credit decal, and an inquiry for a Game King monitor.  So sick.  Last summer, an s2000 and Game King.  Game King software, button deckplate, buttons, and lights replaced.  Coin heads replaced on both machines... Twice.

Dear God help me recover in 2011.  Help me be strong.  I'm not even going get into my MAME cabinet addiction.

Your odds of a top jackpot are greatly dependent on your theme. A 12 times pay machine will likely never ever hit the top pay because the odds are way too long 1:10,000,000 plays.. on the other hand a Sizzlin' 7 with hit frequently 1:4,300 plays.

Post what games you are currently playing and I'm sure someone will shuffle along with your top jackpot odds.

Explain to her Game kits are cheaper than a new machine applause Or just buy the new machine with the game kit you want in it all ready and sell your kits. Or find a tournement chip and you will hit the jackpot a few times a week !

Besides, My wife could care less how many times I change the game kit , she gets a little testy when a new machine arrive though   frying pan frying pan frying pan frying pan frying pan

You gotta keep in mind no matter what the odds on the chips etc. They are RANDOM.   In the casino they are played 24/7 with a LOT of revolutions if it is a good game.  I have had a few for only a couple weeks and cracked them just plunking around.  A while back I set up a muncho dinero and played it aprox 15 minutes and hit all three mucho's---Since then it has been tighter than dicks hat band-------- Silly Me!.   Enjoy your games and Merry X-mas.  B.
