I completed the complete saferam as instructed in manual.  After the mains were installed and powere turned on the reels started to spin slowly andall three stopped at the seam on the reel trips, I assume this is Home as described in the reel calibration.  At the time the winner paid and coins paid had some number (forgot to write them down).  What's next??????

first Bally 6000 so I'm lost on this.

thanks

I have some experience with these...but not pro....will try to help.  First step is to repeat the clear ram process, reinstall your game chips, and then this time record all error codes flashing.  Can't help unless we know what it is telling you.

Bob install the U 28 and U 43  clear chips then with your right hand hold in the test and pusedo buttons while holding them in look at the door leds they should say CH C  then CL C ok let go of buttons and turn off machine remove board and reinstall the U28 and U43 roms put board back in and turn machine on and close door and then watch machine you should get a bunch of numbers that come up, then you want to press the change button then machine should set itself       then play game

Those numbers are the real time clock setting, you can press change and skip this, since you aren't in a casino or you can set the date and time . Not a big deal.

These are the instructions for that.

Real Time Clock (RTC)
If U53 is populated with a Dallas Timekeeper IC, an opportunity to change the settings occurs after a
Complete SafeRAM™ Clear. Set the date using the spin button to increment the number in the flashing
field (mm/dd/yy/day-of-the-week; 0=Sunday) and the bet max button to move to the next field. Set the
time (hh/mm/ss) using the same method as the date. Press change to confirm changes and exit
.

Good luck,
Wayne

Thanks guys, that was easy enough, I was able to get the sot to accept and play on bills (set up with no hopper or coin comparator).  Here's where I stand now.  I played it a few spins, it took and added credits as it should, I then tried to Cash out using the printer.  The winner paid now flashes from _ _ 11 to Pd _ 1.  I'm pretty sure this means it owes 11 credits and has paid 0.  I can't clear this, I've tried the reset key, doesn't help.  I also tried to do an input test on the printer but couldn't access by use of test button.  The printer has tickets and the green status light is light.  Also I do not have any sound, is there a volume control?

thanks forall the help

I also started on a second machine, it has sound but also failed to print ticket.

If you look at the attached picture below, look for the small white knob next to the yellow sticker....that is the volume control.  As far as ticket printer...sounds like either one, the board is not communicating with the printer, or two the limits are not set up correctly during your initial set up.  At this point your are forced to do another clear and then hopefully someone else here can give you the set up parameters from the manual for the printer.  Good Luck.

thanks, does any one know which options and how they should be set for printer to work???  I set opton 61 to 0002 for printer only payouts.  I checked the printer under input test #4 and it printed a voucher.  Every payout is a HAND PAY OUT and must be cleared with reset key
This slot has a aux board mounted vertically on the left wall beside reel #1,there is a volume control there and it was turned all the way down, adjusted and sound is fine now.

Hi Bob,
what is 64 set at (minimum number of credits to be paid by voucher)  If this is set higher than your cash out it will not go to the printer.  What is 67 set at (max voucher pay) If this is set lower than your cash out then it will not go to printer.

good luck,
Wayne

Hi Bob,
I just tried mine and my settings were 56 400 51 9999 58 1000  64 0001 67 8000 .  mine works except that I have only one ticket that I kept from the casino and I cashed out to test it so now it has an out of paper error (38)  I will have to locate some ticket paper.

try changing your 64 to 0001

Good luck,
Wayne

I played with mine some more, got the paper error to go away.  What orientation are you inserting your ticket paper?  the bigger black "mark"  would go to your right and face upward I believe.  my paper tray has this marked on it..

feed the from end of paper with marks, marks up (large black mark to right when you are facing the machine).  you can get the paper from Happs, it's about $2.25 per roll.

I guess I should have mentioned that my 73 is set to 0000, however my 76 is set to 0000 also.

Great to hear.   I will see about the paper, Happ sends by UPS which charges extreme customs brokerage fees, I may try to find another source.  I think they have a minimum quantity that is quite large.

Thanks for letting us know,

I thought it was working!!! but after printing 1 voucher it went back to hand payouts.  I performed another safe clear and it printed out 1 ticket and then went to hand payouts.  Does any one have one that is working correctly?  If you do please let me know what options are not as default.  Remember no hopper, just a printer.  I want the printer to make payouts up to 800 credits.
thanks
