If I'm not home, I'm at The Borgata

« on: December 20, 2010, 03:21:26 PM »

My machine has been coming up with an error about clearing the saferam.  I finally found my clear chip and flipped dipswitch 8 and put the clear chip in P10.  After the procedure, I began getting the error that "Graphics changed.  Use old graphics to view meters or clear saferam to use new graphics.

I put in the saferam again, no dice.  Flipped 6-7-8 with the clear chip, same story.  Flipped all 8 switches with clear chip, same error.

So, I think that my battery may be dead.  Am I on the right track?

Does anyone sell the battery I need online?  Can it be had thru Radio Shack?

 Help

Thanks,
Rob

I bought a couple at the Shack back in September when i was converting my games aka "banks" with the battery adaptor procedure I found on here. They were pricey though at 16 bucks a piece.

If it's a Tadiran Battery $16 is not a bad price in a pinch
if you consider buying from mouser or digi key they wont ship standard mail or priority
they have to send it ups at an extra cost which ends up being $18 anyway with the special shipping
for some reason battery's can't be shipped in the mail.

Check Radio Shacks website as they carry a select few Tadirans in stock
at the store. I always pay the $16 and get the $1.00 AA holder when installing a fresh battery on my S6000 mpu's
I know some members buy the solder in type again but I rather be done with it
and not have to unsolder another battery on the board again.
