Been busy with Xmas plus full size would not work.
Part 4 and last.  Move the number to the end for all for e.g.
"Download_for_Windows_v2_0_99024118.001.zip" becomes
"Download_for_Windows_v2_0_99024118.zip.001" and recombine to single ZIP.

Not quite sure what to do here?

You can combine the files using the copy command like this (the /b are needed)
copy /b file1.zip+file2.zip+file3.zip+file4.zip completefile.zip /b

However we still don't have part 4.

Interesting?
But if we're just combining the files, why do we have to move the numbers to the end?

There are different ways/software to combine the files.

That is the way to combine them using Winzip. Poppo's way uses DOS in a WinBlows command window.

However, as he said, the 4th file is still missing... stir the pot / get cooking

Sorry been away, part 4 below.  A wide range of zip type programs can do it, "7-Zip" is free via "Major Geek" a good site.  Place the 4 sections into the same directory, modify the names so that the number is at the end.   Click on the first, and it will sweep up the rest.

Question; Will Download for Windows v2.0 work on XP?
Want to access a Supreme logic board.
I installed it on my old thinkpad that has a serial port. I've used this laptop in the past for my stanadalones. When I open the program I get a Run-time error, invalid port number.
Program does not open.

When I ran setup received several prompts that file to be installed was older than existing, recommend keeping newer file which I did.
Any help appreciated!

It's a long time since a setup but it works well with XP, I have had several, I am about to have a go with WIN7.  You usually also have to set up a USB<>232 dongle or two, it is essential to go into ....System/Device/Ports and force them to first COM1 and a second to COM2.

Each Dongle has to be introduced to each USB port.  (Later, more powerful Laptops can run two separate Download programs at the same time hence 2 Dongles.)  Create a shortcut to the Download configuration file "DL-Settings.dat", it will have something like  "1 , #TRUE#,  255 ,  64 , #TRUE#, #TRUE#, d:\DownloadLog,  9600 " in it.  The first value is the COM port number.
(To edit it tell Windows to use Notepad when you click on it.)

Each time to program a display, to fully initialise the port I always first start Hyperlink (96,8,1,n) for that COM port and check the Supreme by entering "TYPE A:ERROR.LOG" for that file in drive A of the Supreme for any problems with the previous download, then exit: very handy.  This also allows you to plug the Dongle into the display and THEN the computer at ground level into the USB.  I have found Laptops don't bounce.

Just have all the needed programs (or shortcuts) in one directory on the Desktop or Quickbar and up and down arrows will more you between the programs, much easier up a ladder.

Oops too much detail; you have a serial port, invalid port number probably just needs the address to be driven to COM1 or COM2 or adjust the configuration file (above).

I've found that XP likes to keep assigning the next serial port number if you plug in a USB serial adapter to a different USB port or change adapters. I think I was up to COM18 at one point. Some programs will only work if the port is set as COM1 or COM2. So best to go into device manager and see what the ports are numbered as. You can click on them and go to advanced and change it. It may gripe that the port is already in use, but you will get that if it's assigned it to another USB device (even if it's not plugged in). So as long as you know you don't already have a COM1 or COM2, you can just change it.

I wish I would have seen this earlier but I can indeed confirm that
also I have about 12-20 USB COMxx ports on my computer... rotflmao
I always deleted all those extra COMxx ports.
I don't remember how I got rid of them but after time...
they start adding up again and I will find a way to kill them again.  angry-kitty

Whenever hooking up progressives or SAS stuff, I always go a
nd use COM1 or COM2 for the programs to work.

Does anyone have the full file they can email me? I have been trying to combine the 4 files but can't get it to work. Is the download program very difficult or pretty straight forward?
Thanks

How are you presently communicating with your CON2

I communicate with the con2 through psp. Isn't the program to do graphics and settings on the cycle stealer different? Maybe I misunderstood what you are asking.

Thanks a million! Now hopefully I can figure this out. I accidentally erased the ram on the controller. Now it only displays the progressive on the left half of the reader board and it alternates between displaying the progressive amount and mikohn.

It actually sounds more like a bad physical connection in the harness between the separate display panels?

If it's a bad connection I think the display board that works will show half of the progressive display and the word Mikohn.

It sounds like it's gone back to thinking it's a 1x1 display, you'll have to regenerate the 1x2 layout graphics file.
