I have a dbl lucky 7's that wasn't working, just had a flashing "0" in the winner paid section.  I did a ram clear and turned the machine on, everything seemed normal except that after 5 or 6 plays the machine would pause for 3-6 seconds during play, i.e.  the reels would start spinning, then pause, then complete the play.  sometimes they will stop 2 times during a play.  It does not happen every play.  when the reels stop all the lights on the door go out.

anyone have any ideas that might be wrong?

thanks

It's the power harness between the power supply and the motherboard.

With the power off, you can get some short-term resolution by unplugging and re-plugging that connector several times to make a better contact.  Long term, you'll need to replace the pins in the harness, or replace the harness.

To add to the picture, the connector is pulled off and is shown turned around.

The 2 green wires are grounds....why that second always burns up is a mystery to me...
People buy full harnesses on ebay for crazy amounts of money
when all you need to do is change the receptor female pin or
spray some "DeOxit" into the connector housing and onto the male pins.

It has to do with the female pins in the connector. Most were made with one sided pins hence, only one side of
the male pins makes contact. I have one that has four sided female pins which won't burn like
the old ones.

With that said I know someone will pick up on male verses female pins. bust gut laughing
