I had removed the U12, U15, U3 and U4 chips from a 5500 to put on another board.  Problem is only the u12 and U3 are marked, the other 2 chips are not marked.  Is there a way to determine which chip is the U12 and U4?  I do have a chip programmer.  I looked at the buffer but was able to tell.

thanks
Bob

Do you know what game they came out of?   I have  alot  of Bally chips   if you check the status of the chips on your burner it will tell you the hex code. with that and the type game we should be able to match the two.

I looked, and I don't have any 5500 mains with those checksums (including U3 and U12). Sorry.

I have four sets of mains,  will check them out this evening.

the easiest way would be to obtain a common set of mains that work with the jumper clear. any set of mains will work in the 5500, that game doesn't require anything special.

Jim, just curious. Why did you use checksum 32 instead of checksum 16?

Also, those checksums don't match either of the two sets of chips I have. Scratch Head Scratch Head 2

Now I'm confused. Is it possible that Bally put out multiple versions of each? Help
