I have two different sound boards for a Bally Hot Lines slot machine. One of them seems to hook up correctly with it's harness to my current backpane board, but just has the normal ding ding sounds. The other board which takes sound chips in U3, the harness for it does not match up to my backpane board, plus it only has wiring for the bottom speaker. Back to the sound board that is in my machine now, it has 2 "clamshell" openings to insert a much smaller chip and it has all three sets of wires for the top two speakers and the bottom one. I just need to know the proper soundboard and backpane board to use to get the "Ragtime, Dice Roll, or Applause" sounds on roll up or reel spins.

Thanks,

If your machine has top and bottom speakers, it uses a Pro Sound II board as in the pics, with the clam shells.  What sounds the machine plays are dictated by the sound chip located in the rear clam shell (U4).

Thanks,
Wayne

Is your bottom speaker attached to the wires that come from the sound board harness, or the wires that come from the machine's harness.  When pro sound is hooked up, the speaker would get disconnected from the machine's harness and connected to the sound board harness.

Thanks,
Wayne

I also have another sound board which allows for sound chip in U3. The part # on this board is AS-03356-0362, Bally Gaming 1992/1996. The company that I bought it from said it came from a working Bally 6000 slot. I don't think this one is for a 6000 slot because the harness that it came with just does not match up to my backpane board. Can you confirm that for me?

Thanks

That board should work but will need the S6000 harness.  It's a Pro Sound board.

You could check with the vendor that sold it to you or some of the other vendors from the top of the page.  I'm not a parts vendor, due to being in Canada.  Jim at Blueridge has always been an excellent source for parts.

Thanks,
Wayne
