An Addiction:)

« on: March 24, 2011, 07:28:52 PM »

I have no freakin clue where the 5cm chip went from this slot,  loser so I have two 3cm chips, a SS4784 and SS4787.  I am using the SS4784 with a SP872 and the reel strips are in this order (#1:400, #2:500, #3:600).  I know it calls for ABC, but sorry to say that is Greek to me.  Duh!  I know the odd numbered one goes in the middle or the right (Tried both), but the reels are not showing correct during play.  Sorry for my stupidity, but can someone point me in the right direction?  Either I have the strips in the wrong order or these won't work with the 3cm chip.

Thanks...

**FIXED** I had slant top reel baskets in my upright, FYI That does not work out to well  rotflmao **

Yes, it's the same strips between the 4784 and the 5cm version.

The strips should be in this order:

 ~~ ~~ ~~
 1B 2B 1B
 ~~ ~~ ~~
 TD TD TD
 ~~ ~~ ~~
 2B 3B 2B
 ~~ ~~ ~~
  7 2B  7
 ~~ ~~ ~~
 1B 3B 1B
 ~~ ~~ ~~
 3B  7 3B
 ~~ ~~ ~~
 2B 1B 1B
 ~~ ~~ ~~
 TD TD 2B
 ~~ ~~ ~~
 1B 2B 1B
 ~~ ~~ ~~
  7 1B  7
 ~~ ~~ ~~
 3B 3B 3B

Note: There is only one Triple Diamond symbol on the third reel.  The first reel starts with a single bar, and the second reel starts with a double bar.

Thank You, so I'm not going crazy.  So why would the reels not be showing correctly?  They are in the correct order.  I just played and it showed: 1B 2B 1B, no payout.  Then it had a TD in the middle reel on the next spin, no payout.  Have I been going crazy with another bad MPU that seems good?????

The ABC is a way of saying that the strips go from lowest number to highest number left to right

Did you try a reel strip test? to make sure they are on the reel correctly?  You do not have slant top reel baskets in there by accident do you?

Slant top reel baskets in there you ask?  What idiot would do such a thing?  But, hypothetically speaking, what would happen if someone used slant top reel baskets in there because he thought they were the same?  Just wondering  arrow  Which test # was the reel test again?

hypothetically speaking, what would happen if someone used slant top reel baskets in there because he thought they were the same?  Just wondering  :5

You'd wind up getting paying combinations displayed that don't pay, and vice versa, because the correct symbols wouldn't be facing the reel glass.  Sound familiar?   yes

To get to the reel strip test with your SP872, press the Self Test button 11 times (I believe) until you see a "5" in the coins played window.  ...actually, though, I think you want the Paytable test, which is a "4" in the coins played window -- probably 10 button pushes to get there, then "Spin Reels" to display different combos.

I have seen you post this several time and tried to search the info but couldn't find it anywhere

I think you've seen some others post that stuff several times -- usually I'm too late to the party to post it.    frying pan

That info is from the PAR sheet for the game.  Many moons ago I was given some PAR sheets from a friend of a friend.

Are you saying that you got it figured out then, rilaw?  If so, for the benefit of future visitors who may have this issue, was it that you had slant top reels in there?

I think you said you already have them. Switch the baskets.  I would suggest if you do switch baskets, do not put the retainer clip back on until you make sure you don't have then installed 180 degrees out of sic.

Chris  You can also cut a new notch in your reel strips and off set then so the will line up on the pay line correctly. I prefer basket change.
