Guys, can somebody explain what this does?  On my old GK 4.3 software, there was an audio Attract Mode that played a little jingle when the game was idle.  In 5.3 there is a Visual Attract Mode, but I cannot tell what the heck it does.

Per the manual:

"Attract Mode Enable/disable the visual attract mode by accessing the Operator Menu and touching Setup, Machine Options, Terminal Setup, and the edit box next to ATTRACT MODE."

Doesn't say what it does though.  I thought maybe attract mode cycled though the games and home screen, but it does this regardless of Attract Mode being on or off.

Thanks,
Jason

Jason,

One thing to note here on attract mode is that there has to be 0 (zero) credits on the machine for it to go into that mode. Not sure on the version and what happens in each, but I have heard the music play on 4.3, and on some later versions I remember seeing auto play demo of a royal flush.

Yep, zero credits on the machine and it's sitting idle.  I know exactly what you're talking about regarding the demos of hands being played, showing a Royal Flush, etc, or music playing.  This game will cycle through the various card games and home screen per your default denom.  It doesn't show any demos of hands being played.  Turning on or off visual attract doesn't appear to make a difference as it cycles though everything regardless of the setting.

Seems like the toggle should do something.  *shrug*

Dang it Jason I've just set for over an hour looking at my GK with the  Attract Mode on and the  Attract Mode off and I don't see any difference either.
Now this is going to drive me crazy  arrow  I hope somebody has an answer.

I wonder if 5.0 does the same thing?  I wish they had an audio attract like 4.3 did.  Oh well, fun game though.  Hopefully somebody will chime in.

Any Game King gurus have any ideas on this one?  What in the world is attract mode supposed to do, or how does it get activated?  If it's anything like getting the printer to work with split pay to hopper and the blinking candle, then I guess we're screwed.

Attract mode only works when no credits are loaded on the machine just like the S2000 from my understanding.
