hey all was wondering if anyone had any ideas for me to try i have a 1993 bally 5500 reel slot, bought it not working all the way, i think my only issue is an error code 54 for the lower slot(money) door is open but looking at other posts (thanks everyone, cleared sever errors with the posts) i have a error 54 and i went to the jumper on the back of the slot, found the white /black wire and connected it to ground, i even put a magnet on it! nothing also my cherry switch when i close it or pull it out the system tests out but then get a 50 (front door open) so close the door and get a 54 again, just can't see to clear it, found a wiring diagram on the back j7? pin on the back board to this are there other colors for other models?   i have a wild rose!

your problem is probably with the side money door, the door that you access to get the dollar bills out. there is a switch that is activiated by the lock cam, by pass it.  you can verify if this is your problem by pulling out the door switch (game thinks door is closed), reach in and activate the switch using your finger, if the 54 code goes away  then its your problem.
