Hi,
I have replaced the battery in two of my IGT S+ recently and they both do not have hopper in them. Before replacing these new battery, when i hit the cashout button, it will ring the bell and i can clear the credit by turning the keys. With the new battery, it will show the error 3200 when i hit the cashout.

1st game is Triple dollars (2coin, 3 reel, 1 line)
game eprom sp731
reel eprom ss4783

2nd game is Double Diamond Deluxe ( Nudge, 2 coin, 3 reels, 1 line)
game eprom sp733
reel eprom ??

In the self test mode, i am able to set

5 0
10 1 1
10 2
50
8888 8888 8
0    3
5    6
3999 3999 7
0000         8
05             1

I copied these setting from the other S+ (sp 733) that handpay works. But it does not work on these two machines.  What did i do wrong here and what do i need to make this handpay work? I have read somewhere that the 1and2 dipswitch on MPU has to be on to be able to set the option 7 (hopper and credit max limit). I have not done that yet. Do I have to set the dipswitch 1 and 2 on?

Thank in advance

According to this document, I will have to set dipswitch 1 and 2 on and then set the max hopper pay <7> to 0 right?  Can the same document work for SP733?

Here is the sp733 psr

I'm not sure if setting the hopper limit to 0 will work as the credit limit matches the hopper limit and that would mean any wins would go to hand pay. I think you want this setting, but it is on the SP733 and not the SP731

Cash Out Limit <18>   Determines the maximum amount of credits that can be cashed out of the hopper.  Also determines whether wins are hopper paid or hand paid when the cash out limit is exceeded

But if you had it working before, I'm not sure.  Scratch Head You can try it and see what happens.

Newby question, is there a way to search the Forum by topic, I would really like to see if there is info. on my particular problem before asking the Pros.  Everyone is very helpful but if there is info on the Forum already I should try to use it.   After doing the major cabinet cleaning and dusting off the components I replaced the battery and fired up the machine,,,  code 63, unable to find anysort of optic or manual swith at the mother board.  IGT S+ machine.

Thanks!!

If you use the advanced search option, click the 'Choose a board to search in, or search all' link and you can narrow it down to the sub-forum sections that would apply to the question. Tip: Uncheck the 'Check all' box first and then check the ones you want.

He knows what 63 is (tray switch or optics), but he doesn't know why he is getting it. And that one is not listed there anyway.

I think if I remember correctly that if you set the hopper limit to 1 or 0 with the 731 chip that it will work but I think it will disable the bill exceptor for some reason. I ended up just moddifying my hoppers with a paper plate and a hole punch to go coinless.
