I have followed some of the topics on here regarding this so what I did was take each connector off the MB on the backplane and sprayed connector cleaner on the plug and the base and re connected. I used QD (Quick Drying) cleaner that you can get at an auto store for a few dollars a can. If you want to be assured of a really good connection, follow up with DeOxit which will actually remove most of the oxidation from the pins and give you a Really good connection. Anyway, I was getting these errors on the machine and after performing the above , the errors went away for good. I ran about 1000 tokens through and cashed out several times to stress test and it did not repeat the error.

+1 (Karma, or whatever) Reho. That definitely works. In my opinion it's one of the first things one should do if there is a problem.

I just wanted to add some more information here. Another thing that you can do is clean the coin chute that directs the coins to the hopper when they are accepted by the comparitor. The reason that you need to do this also is because over the years grit, coin material, dirt, etc builds up on the chute. This makes the coins "stick" in the chute. The chute looks like a triangular piece of metal and removes with 1 screw. Clean with solvent and then spray some silicone spray or WD-40 through it to "slick" it up. Reinstall and tighten that screw down tight so there is no "play". Now the coin sequence and coin in jams should really go away for good.

I think Radio Shack. Or maybe you can order direct. The problem is shipping, that stuff is dangerous to fly in a plane so it has to be shipped ground. Try Flea Beay as well. But get the QD cleaner at an auto store and use that first, cheaper and gets the initial grime off. But you really need DeOxit to make better connections, it works chemically to de oxidize the wire and pins. Don't be a tech without it! yes

I disagree ( is this something new)   It's not the dirt that's keeping the coins from going to the hopper, it's the angle of the chute or I should say the lack of a angle in this case. You go putting any kind of lubricant on the chute and dust ( dirt ) is going to stick to the chute.   i                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   I cut the chute using a grinder with a cut off blade. Hacksaw will work. ( grinder is easier) And just bend the chute downward for a better angle. I don't bother to re weld it because how much does one or two coins weigh.

lol what I meant about sandpaper was the cleaning the pins for better contact.
Any lubricant will collect dust & dirt - that's normal.
The little bend you add to the chute is a good idea Buzz!  yes

I like that idea as well. Coinless users don't have to worry (I suspect that's another reason people go coinless).

It takes me about half a minute to do one. But I've been here thinking, we probably have 2 or 3 hundred members that use this site on a regular bases. I wonder how many of them actually play their machines with coins.  I know everone has to have coin handling, and the first call I get is "someone hit cash out with 800 credits, how do I clear it and how do I disable the coin handling"

Any coin handling machine I think I will have for a while, I key the coin denom at $100  To me it's much easier to drop in one coin valued at $100 than to use a $100 bill.  You don't even need a hopper, set hopper limit to 0 and use a coffee can to catch the coins ( how many $100 coins can you use in a day )  I've never used a can but it sounds good!!

So you set the base denom at .25 and tokenize for 100.00, That's 400 credits. OK, good.

Just key the base denom at $100 and don't mess with the tokenize.  Machine thinks your dropping in a $100 coin.

Buzz, if you set the base denom at 100.00 then 1 token = 100 dollars. If you tokenize and make the base denom 25 cents and make 1 token = 100 dollars then 1 token will give you 400 credits (Right)? Tell me where I am wrong........

With out going in and keying a machine I'm trying to remember.  First you set accounting denom. then coin denom ($100), and then player denom (.25 cents ) if multi denom I always set .05, .25, .50, and a Dollar. unless it's a 180 credit machine then .01, .02, .03, and a nickel.

Bunker  How far do you think we can get off topic before the original poster gets on our butt ??

Next time you need to pour out a container of screws or such, to find, the one your looking for, pour them onto a rag. then to put them back into the container just pick up the rag by the corners and pour them back. If you don't have a rag, a sheet of paper will work.

That's all the tips you get today
