there are 2 swiitches on the left side of the reel mechanism - Arm and Kick - check to see if the wires are on - that the actuating arms are not sticking.

First I would like to thank you for your reply! I'm soooo looking foward to playing this thing!!

So your talking about the 2 black switches with 3 male connections on each of them, Theres only 2 female wires connected to each located on a cam gear about the size of a 50cent coin right?

Here is the picture of mine they seem to be fine the buttons also click. I don't have a volt meter handy at the moment to test them or would i know what volts they run at. I have spent over 20hrs looking for documents or repair manuals for any info but had no luck.

FYI! When i do pull the knob they do spin pretty fast too and spin for a while.

The display just says the number 7 on the front

when i do hit the reset button the bell just dings once and really nothing else happens.

Also i wanted to know what this switch in the image below does? its located at the top right of the unit

Thanks again for the replys your help is very appreciated!

Also i notice on only the far left reel the stopper/kick disc has like a metalization dust on it i dont know if that helps any? Picture is below for reference

This image below is a wire i found located at the bottom back left corner by the bell not hooked up to anything but cant seem to see anywhere it belongs within its reach is that normal?

There is also on the door i found ran behind the coin mech 2 wires not hooked to anything eater the image is below.

Hi... You say the reels won't stop spinning, and you have a 7 showing in the display on the front door.. Now what I would do next it to rest the machine. You will see two red button located on the hopper control board, push the left one first then the right one second. You should hear your solenoids lock your reel in position. Now are you able to pull the handle on the machine with out putting a coin in? If you can, check the handle lockout solenoid for the small return spring locking out handle. If that is all correct and the handle won't pull, now play a coin and see what happens. Do the reels now stop or are you getting a code in the door display.. I had a machine that the reel wouldn't stop and I had no error in the display, come to find out the two switches located on the far back left of the reel assembly were bad. They sounded good but once I replace them both, my problems went away... Keep us posted, we'll get you up and running..

would them 2 cam sensors have anything to do with the reel sensors not lightning up?

and what do you think that little toggle switch is for?

Ok so now when i just hit the master power switch inside on waited few seconds 700000 was displayed so then i pressed the left red button then the bell rang bout 3 little chimes then ether in between or when pressing the right red button the display said 000006

During this process i heard a few clicks but i don't believe the stoppers for the reels engaged or the lock/solenoid for the pull lever ether

IDK if you have skype or any other video messenger but i can show you video of what its doing if that would help

Also i dont know if this matters but i had to drill out the lock on the door because it did not come with a key and i notice some goofy mechanisims and a switch right near that area there all still in tact thoe

Make sure the 2 plugs on the back right corner of the reels are plugged in tight, look for any broken wires too. I would pull the hopper out and check the plug connection to make sure it's clean. Then I would check all the fuses in the holder mounted on the back wall behind the hopper.. I'm not sure what the top switch does, I have a machine with one and it does make any difference on mine if it's up or down? The power switch is located in the machine on the bottom to the right of the hopper.

Sorry.. That switch doesn't make any difference on my machine.. Those are call reel readers, they read the position of the reels by the holes in the disk that run through the middle of them.. You might want to check all the plug connections on the two boards along and behind the reel assembly. Pull the plug off and reseat then. It's possible that the hoppers control board is bad.

ok.. so lets reset here a minute.. Do you show any thing in the doors display? You say that pushing the rest, then test buttons on the hopper don't do any thing? Try this... Push the test button on the hopper board 5 times. If it's working you should see the numbers change in the door display as your pushing the button, 1,2,3,4,5... Test 5 is for the reel readers, if the board is working the light on the readers should light up. If not I'm guessing the board needs work.. To get out of the test if it works, push reset or close the door. Too bad you don't have an extra hopper board to test with.. I do repair the hopper and reel boards. I know Barry at Foxsslots does too, and he might have one for sale too. I think they run about $40 if they are a series 1000 type, a series 2000 type I'm not sure.. If you can get a pic of the hopper board I can tell you what you have..

So the hopper board is inside the hopper housing itself? i will take some snapshots now and upload them ASAP so we can get the reels stoppin on this pretty sucker ASAP OoOeEe! cant wait

quick question thoe do you think im stupid if i get it to work like a top then take the time to redo the theme to match my mancave or should i just keep it original and sell it? how much do you think this slot is worth in 100% working condition? Un restored with a little patina?

and what year was this slot even made?

Thanks again for all the advice! hopefully soon i don't have a 250lb paper weight in my mancave and i got a beer fund making amusement machine

I myself would keep the machine as it is. It's a classic Bally from the Harrah's Casino from some where in the 1980's.. As for what it's worth, good question, depends on your local market. Pull the hopper out and there are 2 screw holding it to the hopper base. Were you able to run the test 5 to see if the light would come on the reel reader boards?
