I am converting a S2000 machine to a I Dream Of Jeannie, went through the clear procedure, let the 2 amber lights come on 3 times to clear everything. Put the SB chip in annd it comes up for just a few seconds goes to "testing memory" on the display, but then goes blank and it will not get to alarm sound or the "ram error" in which I turn the reset key 4 times, etc. I opened the door and the led lights on the cpu seem to be correct, but the single red led all the way at the bottom of the cpu is steady red. I am using game 1&2 363 SG chips and version 11GXO and me SB is 100037. Any ideas as to what may be the problem here?

Thanks,

David

If you run the clear procedure again, but throw in a different SB, any change with the behavior?

lightning bolt  if you got it to work after swapping the mpu then you already found the problem.  the crc errors are very common when changing boards.  does the error not go away after reset key and white button holding?

the game should pretty much guide you through it.  open the door and hit the reset key until it displays "press and hold the test switch for 3-4 seconds" or something like that.

Hi David,

Did you follow the clear procedure to the letter per the attached document, even with the new SB or MPU?

Thanks,
Jason

I did all of that with a different SB and everything worked fine. Took it out and ran the same procedure with the SB100037 chip and got the same "system error" message again. I am just getting another SB chip, this one must be coorupt, I'm giving up on it.

Thanks for the help though.
