  Help
E series slot machine from the pioneer club. When I pull the lever, the first reel does not spin at all then the other two reels don't stop spinning. Not quite sure whats wrong or if its something I can fix myself. Also, if there is an error (or error code number) where would I see that? This machine is like a dinosaur and weighs 5643 pounds at least. Just wondering if its worth fixing, and if I can do it myself.
I appreciate any help!

Sounds like it's in need of having the 30 or 40 year old grease (now clay) cleaned out and new grease put in it's place. Another issue is the seal in the air cylinder (big white tube on the right side of the reel assembly) either getting gummed up or worn out.

Search the forum for how to do this, there have been a few threads on it in the past. If you have any problems, just post up and someone will give you a hand. Also, pictures help! The more you show us the more help we can give you.

My E-2226 did that too when I got it.  It also gave a #41 error message.

I pulled the reels out and lubed everything shown in the manual.  While in there, set the clearance on all of the reels in the reel reader.  They were way out of line according to clearances shown in the manual and explained in another posting here.

When the reel assembly was put back in, the error message went away and all reels spun and stopped properly.

Later, when I had a reel handle problem, I posted a question here and was told to clean out the air cylinder.  I did it although I don't know what I am doing and it was very easy and after that, this machine is running perfectly.

While you are lubing everything you might as well clean and lube the air cylinder too because after seeing mine, I am sure that yours will need it too.  If it isn't causing any problems early on (mine didn't) it almost certainly will in the future.
