Very, very good question Mr.Fannini,
I have 5 different 2 coin versions in all of my lists but none show a 3 coin game.

There's one that sticks out but I have no further information on it...>>>
I think it's SB100140...but I'm NOT sure.
It might be the I-Game version?

Could we see a picture of the award glass for this puppy?
I posted a picture I found on the internet at slotmachinesltd.com ....they have a
picture of a 3 coin machine but if you look at the award glass -
It does appear to to me that it looks like a 2 coin game?  Scratch Head
The picture on the website is not very clear or of a high resolution to tell for sure.
maybe Chris over there can help you out?

Click on borrowed photo to make slightly larger...>>>

SB100140 is 2CM

All my lists show 2CM only, too.

Ben,
I show a S.B.  chip of S.B.100005 for a 3- reel,  2-coin multiplier.
Maybe a S.B. 100004 or a S.B. 100006?

Ben the glass kits that you have are actually styled in a 3CM format?  I've only seen 2CM.  Since it's a nudge game, I wonder if a 3CM DD/TD Deluxe SB would match up?  If the strip patterns and symbols match up, I don't see why they woudln't.

Scratch the S..B. 100006.

I show the S.B. chip 100006 as a DOUBLE TEN TIMES PAY.
3-reel, 5-line, 5-credit,   S2000.

Bunker,
You are correct about the photo being a 2-coin. I enlarged it & it looks like a 2-coin.

I can't remember ever seeing a 3-coin S2000.   Maybe in Vegas a lone time ago. I know the 3-coin is very rare. They have Phantom of the Opera Video's in Central City. All $1.00 or higher.
Some Casino in Vegas must have cleaned out their basement.   Imagine a large hotel in Vegas switching to new machines. . That's a lot of glass kit to get rid of.
Nice job Ben.

Ben, I was digging through the archives and found this quote:

"I believe,  Phantom Of The Opera,  is the same as,  Triple Dollars Mystery Reel Nudge"

If this is true, is there a 3CM version of that game?

I'll get the pictures in the morning. The only thing I wonder about is the sound simm will it work on the mystery nudge chip.

the Phantom of the Opera  has the same base pay table as a Triple diamond. the triple dollars with Mystery reel action is the same pay table as the triple diamond, with the nudge feature.

we would use the ss-8181 chip in a S+ along with a type 23 sp chip ,and put the Phantom kit in a S+ machine.

I have put a ss chip in a s-2000 for a haywire game and all features worked, along with a sound simm, you couldn't tell the difference.

There is a ss chip for a 3 coin triple dollars with mystery reel action  ss-8189, so I don't see why it wouldn't work. to make the game worth while you need the proper sound simm,(DVS00002) the organ music and his laugh ( when the reels don't nudge ) really make the game.
