I picked up a couple of S2000 machines and I have a out of paper error, but I have a few tickets in the printer. They are in with the black bar strip up. Whats happening is the print take the ticket and pulls it through the printer and stops, the led light turns green on the printer, but the out of paper error won't clear? Like I said I just got these machines, the printers look dusty/dirty. There is a sticker covering the optic in the front lower left of the printer. What should I check next, or might they just be dirty? Might it be as easy as changing something in the menu?

Thanks Gary

Open and close the main door latch 3 or 4 times. If that doesn't clear the error try using a key chip and disable the printer in config II. Can always go back and mess with the printer at a later date.

Thanks Buzz... I will try the door latch thing.. I'm guessing you let the machine go through a complete start up cycle each time, and not just open and closing the door 3-4 time, or am I wrong?

Not at all, just lift the latch and close it. ( No need to swing the door open ) This will clear one error at a time and only one. Sometimes you will have a few stacked errors.

if the ticket has been in the printer for a while you might want to tear off the first ticket and insert a new one.  If green light is on the printer is usually ready.  Check under to key chip config and make sure it shows printer enabled, there is also a test under option 4 to print a ticket.
