I have a Diamond Fives vision machine that on startup the display says waiting for video display. The video display says "initializing please wait".
This is as far as the machine will go. New at vision series machines. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. The SB number is SB100001, the games chips are SG000341, the version chip is SX0 at the end other numbers are gone, and the S+ reel chip is SS7754.

Check that SB number.  It's not correct for Diamond Fives Vision.  If that really is the chip number you have it's a non- vision SB chip which happens to be  for a 2 coin Cigar.  Also, there shouldn't be an S+ chip in the machine.

Sorry the SB chip is a SB000001. Which my list says is a generic vision bonus spin chip. I would think it would require a S+ chip if it's generic.  Hope this helps. Again I am new to visions and need help.

Not sure what list you are working from but a vision Diamond Fives Bonus Spin chip is SB000102 for 2 coin and SB000113 for 3 coin.  The only chip that supports S+ chips is the SB001000 which is not vision. So the S+ chip is just leftover from some other configuration. Now assuming you have a flash card in the LCD with files that matches this SB000001 chip the most likely reason your machine hangs is that there is a communication problem between the machine and the LCD.  There is a 6 pin molex with grey wires that connect to the  back of the LCD.  That is the communication connection.  Check it to make sure all the pins are making the connection.  Also check it where is connects to the top box in the left side.

Jeff, there was the 001 (SB001001 If I remember) SB that supported SS chips in the Visions, I think the Siz 7's Fish for Cash was one that was common, but there is an SB to use the SS in a Vision, I had it somewhere but never tried it in a game, it won't let you use the MM lite board for Enhanced sounds with the 26 (or 24) Simm I know, it was tried by a member here last year

OK, Jim, that's good to know.  I still think he has the wrong SB chip in that machine for Diamond Fives Bonus Spin but the problem for what he is describing is usually that comm connection being disconnected.

Found problem  was missing cable. The machine with the SB000001 and S+ chip will run like a standard Diamond Fives and will have good luck displayed on the LCD and when you hit a win it displays "win" and goes back to good luck. There is no bonus game in this configuration. When I put a SB000102 chip in the machine it says no bonus game support. The flash card was for a generic game and will have to be replaced. Thanks idesign for pointing in the right direction.
