While sitting in idle mode, lamp went out and machine reset power. I swapped out lamps from my other s2000's, still dark. Where do I start....

Thanks,
Danny

Try swapping the ballast, located on the laft inside wall of the cabinet next to the #1 reel with the belly or top box ballast. Don't plug the other one back in till you figure out if it's the problem though

Can't get the potentially bad one out, one screw is hidden way back. I took out the ballast from the belly. Should I connect to that one, since I know that one's good?

take out reels 1 and 2 if needed, all three ballast are the same.
The reels pull straight out. no releases
if you have a short reel glass the reels may be a bit stubborn when you try to remove them, long reel glass the reels seem to come out easier.

Absolutely, and the back nut on the reel glass ballast is a lot easier to reach if you take reels 1&2 out first and use a nutdriver

Foster I'm nitpicking but there are two different ones. One for 15" bulb and a different one for 18"  Notice I didn't say they won't work.

I was referring to the 18" version anyways.
I have not come across any 15" bulbs in a S2000.
I am thinking those are either for the short reel glass or top box when a Vision or reel touch display.
I would love to have a vision and or reel touch setup to mess around with (BIG HINT)

Foster  You should have bought the one I got from Kirk last Sat. Round Top, 5 reel Mata Hari, vision, coin handling, BV, and a printer. ( no top glass )  It had a battery error, installed a new battery and never did use a key chip,  it booted right up.

The reel touch uses an 8" round flourescent bulb, 2 side by side actually, if you're ever up this way, swing by and I'll show you. Maybe even add some weight to your vehicle for the return trip rotflmao
