After performing a complet clear and setting the options I must press the "reset" button to save settings, closing the door will not save the settings.  I've replaced the door optics, belly door switch and the CPU board with know good parts.  The code 50 remains, I'm unable to get it to accept bills even though the bill checks out (test 4).  Maybe the motherboard?

thanks and any help appreciated

I take that this is a 6000 check the belly switch with a continuty check. Also your  door optics must line up. Try to shut door a little hard not slam to see if it works. I had a machine that if you shut door easy  it would code 50 this was because the door was not going all the way in

it is a Bally 6000.  I found that the optics on the cabinet does not have any voltage and the optics on the door has 5vdc.  I took these readings after pressing test button until 3d (output test).  When I get some time I'll remove the BV and printer and try to trace wire on optics.  I'm guessing it will go to the motherboard.  If it does I guess I'll replace motherboard unless someone has another suggestion.

thanks
