On My Jackpot Party dotmation Machine the #1 payline lamp didn't work. After verifying that the bulb was good, I notice that each lamp had a Diode next to it on the circuit board. Not knowing much about Diodes I took a shot in the dark and checked with a ohms meter, and got a reading on all the diodes except the one for the #1 Lamp. After removing the diode from the circuit board and with the help of reading glasses and a magnifying glass I was able to read the numbers on the diode (IN4004). And believe it or not RadiShack had it.
Soldered the new Diode in the Lamp board and voila the lamp worked. Hope this helps somebody. If not at least I got to tell my story.
Mike

Glod to see that it works.  I would have ended up buying a new payline lamp as I'm not what you would call too confident in my electrinic abilities.... rotflmao rotflmao        +1 (Karma, or whatever)

Hey, that's great.  Thanks for posting it this fix -- K+ to you.  I'm going to ask that this post be moved to the WMS Reel category for future reference there so it doesn't get lost here.

Very good! A 1N4001,1N4002,1N4003,1N4004 will all work. The differance is the peak reverse voltage.
Stay away from 1N4005 and 1N4006 as they are 800/1000 volt diodes and they will have forward voltage drop.
Almost ANY power rectifier will work. The 1N4001 thru 1N4006 are 1 Amp units....
