I don't know how good that kit is. I repaired some with stone chip repair that is used in body shop.

3 screws @ bottom of glass

Staz be careful.  If the damage is on the back side of the glass, keep in mind that the reel windows have a Mylar finish on them.  The wrong chemical could damage it.  I have used a very light rubbing compound and carnuaba wax to polish and remove light scuffs on mine.  The front side is just glass.  I have used acetone to remove tape goo, etc and then always use Windex for finger prints and normal cleaning.

Yeah if it's a chip on the back side, I'd leave it alone.

That's a kind offer of yours, BR549.  I suspect Staz will contact you privately.  I also suspect that the reel glass in question is a fairly hard to find piece of glass.

Staz- Unless it's really bad, I think I'd leave it alone instead of risking making it worse, at least until you have a line on a replacement.

I would guess the mylar is scratched and maybe the glass too.  Replacement is a better idea.
