I got mine over the weekend with a .30-06. One single 200 yard shot and the buck was harvested.  Hail

Thanks!

I wasn't born yet in '63 so I have a great Alibi!

It's a Remington 700BDL in .30-06. It has had the barrel floated, the receiver has been bedded, the bolt lugs lapped, trigger lightened to 3 1/2lbs, Leupold scope and rings, and the scope rings have been lapped.

It is one hell of a nail driver! I shoot full power hand loads my gunsmith buddy makes for me. 57 grains of some kind of powder pushing a Nosler 165 grain ballistic tip bullet. I LOVE those Nosler bullets as they open fast and kill VERY quickly.

I helped him get his Cisco CCIE certification and he did all the work to the rifle as a thank you. It was one HELL of a thank you. Cheesy

It's zeroed for 200 yards, shoots 2" high at 100 and drops about 7 inches at 300 yards. I can put 19/20 center of chest on a 1/4" steel plate man sized torso target at 300 yards.
