Good thread and great help for drfreeze.
Kudos+ for all!

My question is why in the heck would someone install a pinwheel backwards on a hopper?  bust gut laughing
That's like having a Camaro with bald tires in Alaska!

The SP1137 really needs the SET086 to make it work.
Other SET chips won't get it going.
That's what I found out about those...

He has no BV, so would it matter?.

No Poppo, that chip needs the SET086 to use the "Montana Credits" options in order for it to work.
It's that special chip which allows you to drop all the coins you want into the machine
and they ALL go to the credit display.
You can skip the DBV option...

But that would only if you used that option right? Wouldn't it act like a regular SP normally?

Good question...I will try one with a TYPE 0 reel chip right now and see what comes up as "default".

I've had it in a couple on games, but this is no Bull Shit I forget what I did to get it to work.  I know when it was all said and done, the first 3 coins would go to game spin and any remainder coins you dropped in would increase the amount of credits that were on the machine.

I don't think you had to do much Buzz...
I just installed it for kicks and did NOT have to use the SET086 chip to get it going.

Okay, here are my results of installing an SP1137 chip into a machine with no DBV
and with a plain Type0 chip from a previously installed SP1271 chip.
I did not perform a Clear beforehand...>>>

I get a [61] in the Winner Paid window.
I press the Test button and get a [65-1], I press the Test button again and it clears, the display goes out momentarily
then comes back on with the reels doing their "maiden spin" with all the strip ends on the pay-line.
I close the door and the game is ready to play as the reels spin again to the strip ends on the pay-line.

However, all I can see is that the "Cash/Credit" button is not lit up so that means if I get a win of any kind -
the hopper will pay out all wins in coins/tokens.
That Credit button setting is defaulted to "non-credit" mode - it can be changed if needed.

Also, this is important! Any amount of coins I drop go to the display!
Because I have a 3 coin Type0 reel chip installed, the 1st three coins I drop go
towards the "MAX" bet and the rest accumulate in the display!
The SET086 is NOT needed!

I am wrong about this SP1137 needing the SET086 chip to use!
Thanks for posting the questions Poppo!  yes
It forced me to look into this chip with more detail !

I made a short video clip to show this to you guys...>>>
