door closure means the door was open but now is closed, it should go away when a game is played

This error happened to me at the Casablanca Friday on a Double Top Dollar machine. The attendant opened the door and used the reset key. Maybe this would help.

I don't believe Closure M can stop the game from going into play mode.

door closure means the door was open but now is closed, it should go away when a game is played

zarobhr This is not necessary a accurate statement. Depending on which SG chips you have installed. On most S 2000 the door open display on the VFD will disappear and the candle will go out when you close the main door with out playing a game.  I did say MOST not always !! Knagl and I got in this pissing match last year, turned out we were both right or both were wrong, which ever way you look at it.

OK door Closure think I'm wrong !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Open and close the door latch 3 or 4 times. Make sure your getting the latch all the way down each time.

Bill    NO bet, but if it does we will know the optics are OK. I'm beting he has a couple of errors stacked.  But if I was smart I wouldn't own a Slot Machine would I !!

morgan hasn't posted back yet - must slammed the door on his hand?  Scratch Head 3

Why do people start asking questions then take off?

Did you lift and close the main door latch 3 or 4 times ????  Really this isn't a joke, it's necessary to clear errors.

Knagl and I got in this pissing match last year, turned out we were both right or both were wrong, which ever way you look at it.

 Tongue Out

For the record, and whether or not every machine will display this every time, in IGT land a door is either reported as open ("Door Open 'x'"), or as closed ("Closure 'x'").  The notation of "Closure" on the display is not in itself an error, but if the game will not play there is an error condition.

In your case, morgansinpv, you have confirmed that your door optics are working correctly.  You reported that the machine would recognize that the main door is open when you lift the latch ("Door Open M"), and then that the machine recognizes that the door has closed when the latch is lowered ("Closure M").

The "Call Attendant" is indicating that there's some kind of error with the machine.  Is ANY other information displayed on the VFD (the blue display) aside from the door status and "Call Attendant", either when the door is open or closed?

Lift the latch and take note of what is displayed on the VFD, and post the errors here.

I'm not sure what we have, but if it says Call Attendant with the door open. turn the key and watch the VFD  you may have to turn the key 4 times, VFD should tell you to press the test button 3 seconds ( hold it a little longer than 3 seconds. VFD should tell you to close main door. wait a while after closing and VFD should say call Attendant, open door to a alarm sounding, turn key and watch VFD and follow it's directions.

What is your BV doing through all of this? Does it cycle? Is the cash can inserted fully with the release lever seated properly? Do the reels perform their maiden spin before the error comes up?
