Where does Gateway plug into PE+? J12 or J15?

Where do I attach the Gateway to the PE+ motherboard?

One of the attached pictures shows the bottom-right of the PE+ motherboard with both J12 and J15 circled.  The other picture is a snippet of the PE+ motherboard diagram showing what J12 and J15 pins are used for.

From everything I've read, I should be connecting to the 4-pin plug (J15).  However, there is already a plug in the slot inside the machine.  In the picture, the arrow points to a plug that was already inserted into the J15 slot (it is unplugged for the purpose of showing both J15 and J12).  Following the J15 wires, they go to the monitor.  If I unplug J15, there are no obvious changes to the monitor - it's as though J15 currently has no effect on the monitor.  There is no plug currently connected to J12.

What I'm thinking is ... perhaps I should be plugging my 3 wires (GND, RET, and Coin-In) to J12 and let J15 feed the results to the monitor.  Or, should I be connecting my 3 wires to the plug that's already plugged-in J15?  Or just leave J15 unplugged and plug my own 3 wires into it?

thats the right plug but the description you have is wrong.
there are 3 wires coin in,gnd,data return, the forth is not used .
my reference comes from the mikohn manual not the s+ manual.

i would check your top box for the other end of that harness.

When you write, "the description you have is wrong".  Do you mean the schematic is not correct?  That is very likely true because I found the schematic by searching ... it didn't actually come with the board.

What I didn't expect was to see a plug already in J15.  Is that normal?  If it's not, then do you think J15 is not the right plug-in location?  I will follow the J15 wires again and double-check where they lead to.
