I have a friend that bought this machine from me and he is out of state so it is kind of hard to work on from here but he says he was playing it and opened the door to get out money from the cash box and then closed it and was getting call attendant. When he opened the door he got a system error. I told him to turn the reset key and this was the error he got: setnet eprom control error. Normally I know errors pretty well but this one got me. Is this a chip problem or chip connection problem? It was working fine. Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Tommy

This is the first time I have heard of it myself.
There is a IC with a SENET label on the MPU.
I was thinking it was self contained micro controller  or other custom chip
I did not think it was just a EPROM chip

Maybe the I/O boards juggled loose on the door during move or him opening/closing the door constantly?
Ask him to re-seat those boards both on the door and the MPU wall with the power off and re-start the machine up?
Loose I/O boards cause the weirdest errors...
We've been getting a lot of posts of those coming ajar after a machine movement.

They are near where the MPU is labeled with:
Super Stepper Controller and the vendor, part number labels on the MPU.
I am looking a 504B (50x boars have the 2 chips in the same place) they would be under MMLB, if one is on the MPU.

one is U721 which can say is a micro controller since U722 is a 6116 Static RAM 2Kx8 IC.
and since they put a label on it that means does have some form of a EPROM or EEPROM as part of its design.

You got a pic by chance? I only have enhanced boards on my home machines. So I have nothing to look at.

Here is a picture from a 504B

Who knows what chip it is on a 1270, my spare 1270 does not have one labeled for SENET.
Either IGT or vendor chose not to label it on them.

Thanks for the pic Foster! Well I know I don't have a spare one of those to give him but I least I can have him check to see if it is loose or something. Sad thing is I just had one that something else broke on so I threw it away!!! URRRRGH! hissy fit
