Hi, I have a Bally 5500 blazing 7's slot, game is working great but I would like to make it a stand alone progressive.

Can it be made to a stand alone progressive machine & if so what would I need?

The glass in the machine was for a progressive machine.

Thanks for any & all answers.

Hi Jordan,
You need a controller with meter like Mikohn Cham II+ (see pic)
And for harness and setting instructions, better than any manual would give, I recommend you read the excellent post by StatFreak >>> http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=7606.0
Hope it helps

Thanks bruno,

I saw that post by StatFreak & that is what made me want to attempt it.

Another question, the quarters are getting pushed/wedged under the knife & not paying out, is there an adjustment that I am missing or do I need to replace the knife?

Thanks

You must empty the hopper, check that nothing is stuck under the knife and then remove and clean.
A simple adjustment is usually enough.
