I was reading the error wrong, it is actually 994 not 999. Hopefully this will help.

Thanks,

now I can get this machine to accept coins. When I pull the arm, the motor that spins the reels runs, but the reels are in the "set " position and are not allowed to spin. It still says call attendant on the display as well. Does the hopper have to be full in order for this machine to operate correctly? Any idea as to what I can check on this machine now?

Thanks,

David

Still need some help on this machine please. When I power this game on the call attendant light is on and I can't get it to play at all. I see a test button on the cpu that slides into the game but when i press it I can't access any test procedures. For what it is worth, I found a broken wire going to the harness that connects the reels with the circuit board in the back of the machine, I soldered a jumper wire directly to the board and when I connect it to the machine wire(which is black) I can engage the coin switch and it adds credits but when I pull the handle the reel motor runs, but won't spin the reels. Now if I do that same thing, if I seperate the black wire with the wire I have soldered to the circuit board, the reels will spin. However, if the reels land on a winning pay, the machine will not add the # of credits won. Hopefully there is a Jennings person out there who can help.

Thanks,

David

I found this on eBay - someone that will repair a Jennings board.
He may have the answers you are looking for and you can get you CPU checked too.
