Does anyone know what games would be type 12 the Fever type games?

It almost sounds like they are similar to WMS Winning Streak.

the only game I can remember that's a type 12 game was Tropical Fever, although I can't remember what the fever part was.. pretty rare short lived game

Special S-Plus: When the specific symbol is detected on the payline AND maximum coins are played, a number of special games are awarded. The special games are played by betting the max. number of coins while in this mode. The payout on winning combinations for this special game are paid from a second, higher paytable. The game will alternate between the standard paytable and the special, higher paying paytable; in effect, the game that initiates special games from the standard game mode is paid from the standard paytable. When the special game initiator symbol is hit while playing a special game, that game is paid from the special paytable and the special games are awarded to the meter. Type 12, 'Tropical Fever' is not to be confused with the Type 22 S-Plus, 'Jungle Fever.'

Type 12, Tropical Fever: A special symbol or reel combination initiates a "Fever Mode". A two digit LED in the top glass indicates games remaining in "Fever Mode". A second liberal paytable is in effect during "Fever Mode". The player must play max coins to initiate the "Fever Mode" and win from the special fever paytable.

I know that IGT made a game for the PE+ (and later the Game King) called "Super 8 Line".  It was a 8-line 9-window video slot game.  If you lined up the "bell" symbol in the right pattern within the windows, it would start "fever mode."  You had either 8 or 10 spins where you couldn't increase your bet beyond the initiating bet, but during the "fever" games, every bell that appeared would be worth "x" coins.  Something like 40 or 60 or something.  When this thing hits the fever mode at the local casino, everyone stops to watch as they have it set up as a dollar machine, and the fever mode often pays out over $1000.

I've never even seen one in a casino, ever.  The only way I know it existed, was while making the bible.  The only Type 12 game ever made I believe.

An Interactive Stepper Slot Game. When the specific symbol is detected on the payline with max coins played, a number of special games are awarded and a game meter displays the number of special games awarded. The special games reference a second set of reel maps and a separate paytable with higher percentages. In normal game mode (when the special game meter is equal to zero), the standard reel maps and standard paytable are used. When less than maximum coins are played while there are special games available, the special game meter will not decrement, the standard reel map is used, and the standard paytable is referenced for the payouts. Type 22 'Jungle Fever' games are not to be confused with the Type 12 game, 'Tropical Fever.'

I'm afraid I don't have more than that, other than a report that a Jungle Fever slot machine existed at one time (and may still be there) at the "Grand River Raceway" in Elora, Ontario, Canada.
