Other than the coin head and hopper, will I need any additional parts to convert from a quarter machine to a silver dollar machine?

Thanks,

David

Yes you do
$1 Encoder - the black plastic between the coin in optics.
CC-33 24V inhibit large coin comparator I might be off on the number
Harness for the comparator it only uses 3 wires.

you have to adjust the comparator clips back and install the comparator backwards so the coin entry on the comparator is to the left/hinge side of the door.
you may also have to move the optics to the other 3 holes when you change out the encoder piece between the optics.

coin enters on left and exits on left (return to player) if coin is invalid and exits on right (to hopper) if coin is a valid coin.

Do you know who would have the parts that I need so that I could purchase them?

David,
in a PM to me you wrote:
"Thanks, I will need the parts to convert to a .25 S2000 machine to a 1.00 machine. So I guess I would need the hopper, coin head, coin optic and the comparitor, unless you know of something else i need to convert it over."

You posted this ad in the S and S Plus section.
Do you want these parts for the S Plus or the S 2000 ?
I'm sure the compairator will be a different voltage if looking for S 2000 parts

Let me know if this needs to move... If we want it to be a for future reference it can go to S2000 if that is confirmed. If you are looking for the parts, it may be better to convert this to a WTB in the classifieds to get more visibility to the vendors who watch that area religously.

Still needs more clarification. IGT made and S, S Plus, and S2000. Which do you have? Plate should be on side of cabinet.

the hoppers are the same for a "S" or S+ model..    all parts are interchangable.  the only difference would be the motor, they put a heavy duty motor on dollar hoppers.

all the parts you need are the same for both types.

Hope this helps

Would I need the heavy duty motor, even if it is for home uses only?

you should be fine for home use.  if you are using real silver dollars you may want to get a large coin knife.  it is a little more stout than that for a quarter.
