Wild Cherry stops above or below payline & center line lights up. See Pic. Have tried 2 different SB's (100095) hoping one of them was an updated file, same issue. SG363's, 11GX1 version. I am about ready to give up on having thiis game with backlights. I have a TDWC that works as it should. Love the WC theme but frustrated. Does anyone have a solution?

SB version...is there another one out there for this game?  I have two for my TDWC, and one was reported to exhibit this issue...although I've never seen it.  Wild Thing had this problem too and I believe it was cured with an updated SB.

I wonder where you find these updated SB chips.  I have a listing for 2 chips for Wild Cherry's  SB1000094 3R 1L 2C   SB1000095 3R 1L 3C

You would think if that elusive updated SB exists, it would be labeled Rev A or something. Somebody out there has to have one that works properly. Ring in with some SG #'s. I have read that SG251's were used with Double WC. Could this be a solution? I've never had any 251's but have only been doing this a short while. Have had machines with SG312, 362, 523 but all others were 363.

For your reading pleasure...should it apply to "Wild Cherry"...not sure if another SB exists or not for this theme that would resolve the "lighting" issue.

tell you what, I've looked at a couple hundred SB chips and I don't recall ever seeing REV *** on any of them.  I'll bet if you run a poll you will come up with only one check sum.

I have 4 or 5 Wild Cherry machines, I'm leaving tomorrow for Bull Head and will be back Sunday. I will check and see if mine acts like yours.  Actually I did check one of them and after about 30 games ( it never hit ) got to looking and it's not backlit. ( dumb shit )  Hey it don't take me all that long to figure this stuff out.

Help me out here,
I thought the Wild Cherry & Double Wild Cherry were S+ games, Not Back-lit. Those reel strips should not fit a S2000 Back-lit reel, but should fit a S2000 Non-Back-Lit reel.
if  I happen to be not correct please help me out.
I don't remember if the Triple Cherry is back-lit or not. Two Coin is SB 100171, three coin is Sb100172.
We all know the Triple Double is back-lit.
I use S.G. 598 & have used S.G. 363.

I have a few back-lit themes that when a certain symbol is hit all the line light up. Such as a single cherry, just depends on the game.

More S.G. #'s  S.G. 100155
                      S.G. 100198
S.G. 100362, which i believe are worthless next to the 598 or 363.

IFFV68    Boy am I ever gonna overload my butt on this one. This is what I think to be correct. Now I'm only talking about 3 reel games.   S+ reel strips will not fit a S 2000 reel. S 2000 reel strips backlit and non backlit are the same width. I'm not sure but I think I read you can do some cutting on a S+ strip and make it fit. I'm not real sure because I've never done it.  Scratch Head

True Wild Cherry and Double Wild Cherry were S+ themes, but IGT did make SB chips for those two games which would also make them a S 2000 game. Backlit reel strips were made for both of these games. Now that doesn't mean every set of strips are backlit, they made them both ways.

Let me try to explane one little thing.  If your going to use a S+ theme in a S 2000 your SB chip will ALWAYS be numbered SB001000 then on your MPU you will install a SS ( reel ) chip from a S+ in location U 17.

If you have any junk chips the SG000155s are junk. If I see a set of 155s  I replace them with SG000363. All I seem to get is reel tilts if a set of SG000155 are installed.

Concerning 3 reel S2000 as well.
Most S+ reel strips will not fit the back lit reels (I say most because there could be an exception) but they do fit the non back lit reels
The baskets are the same for the S+ upright and S2000 non back lit upright (same numbers on the baskets by the vendor)
Any S2000 or S+ upright basket can be used in any S2000 (slant and upright) unlike a S+ which uses 2 different baskets for upright and slant top.

SB Chips
Wild Cherry
SB100094 2 Coin 5,000 top award
SB100095 3 Coin 10,000 top award

Triple Cherry
SB100171 2 Coin 5,000 top award
SB100172 3 Coin 10,000 top award

Could not find any SB chips listed at IGT for Double Wild Cherry
They may not have even done a SB for it. or it is no longer supported.
It would need a S+ SS (reel) chip

The thing is the Wild Cherry even using a SB chip only activates the center lights even when the WC lands on a position line.above or below the pay line
It has been a while since I used a SS chip for my WC but they do light up on any win (all reels) I just cant remember if it lights up all 18 lamps or the center row of lamps.

The Wild Cherry themes are one of my favorite themes.
It was one of the S+ themes that was ported early to the Vision Ready aka Super Stepper (your  501, 502, 504 MPU have that etched on them) before they decided to change things and call it a S2000.

Buzz, I am new at this but not sure about the "ALWAYS" part of your statement. No disrespect intended. I have had 2 Double Diamond S2000 3R, 3C, 1L machines. Sold one, still have one. Both backight reels. The one I sold had SB001000 with the S+ reel chip. If you hit a single cherry, the entire line would illuminate regardless of what the other two symbols were. My current machine uses SB100054. If you hit one or two cherries, only those symbols illuminate, not the entire line. Needless to say I prefer the dedicated SB over the 1000/SS combo in this instance. Now with that out of the way, it's also my understanding that the SG's control reel lights. I am thinking I may need something other than 363's for the Wild Cherry backlights to function properly. My TDWC works flawlessly but it is an S2000 theme & I heard they had some backlighting issues as well.

I understand where buzz is coming from it is not always possible to find a SB chip for a S+ theme that was renewed and/or released for the S2000
Triple Play, Chaos, 4th of July are a few that I came up with off the top of my head that I have not found has a SB chip.
There may be a particular theme from S+ that may not work in a S2000 due to special features.
Also if you must use a S+ SS (reel) chip it must be 120ns or faster per IGT.

The TDWC as far as I could tell didnt have any issues of course I used SG000598 with it
SG 598 came with my Enhanced MPU
I only have a 504B with 363 and motherboard as a last resort backup (a unmounted Enhanced MPU is primary backup).
Sorry I cant test that theme with 363
I got to use a friends kit for a month
It went in the machine as soon as I got home and came out right before It went back to the person I borrowed it from.

Let me try to be clear. If you use a SS chip, the SB chip will always be a SB001000. Any  SB chip other than a SB001000 do not use a SS chip. I didn't say oneway or the other if you get backlit when using a SS chip. Quite frankly I don't remember. I do have two machines in my house that have SS chips and was going to see, sadly neither machines have backlit reels and I didn't feel like changing boards around tonight to test them.

Foster I think your right I couldn't find a S2000 Double Wild Cherry SB chip.

Try it with SG000598 game chips.  This is what IGT calls for now along with the SB100095 and VS011GX1

I hate to break it to you but IGT did not set up the Back light in Wild Cherry like they did with Triple Double Wild Cherry
I cant say whether Double Wild Cherry or Triple Cherry works correctly either (do not own those themes)

How many times do I have to say this a SB100095 is an early S2000 SB chip and IGT did not get the back lighting right on it.
No matter what combination of SG and VS chips it is only going to light up the center row (pay line) lights

IGT didn't even make backlit strips for Wild Cherry and Triple Cherry.  TDWC is the only one that has backlit and non-backlit strips I believe.
