Hello!

To quote someone else...

"Open the door and press the white test button 9 times. This will bring you to the Paytable test.
There will be a 4 in the Coins In window.

Now, just turn the jackpot reset key 4 times. Don't touch the buttons.

The reels will spin to the home position. All three reels should have the seam on the payline."

There the same reels right?  There not from a slant top with a different offset?

Considering that this very discussion is happening right now with another member, how about directing AcePeter to the current thread.

Here is the first post in the thread that deals with this problem:

... the seams are just above the three bars ...

Are the seams on the payline? That's the question.

If so, then post your SS and SP numbers.

Ace,
we also need the SS reel chip number to help ya figure out why the seams are not on the payline....
You may have an incorrect SS reel chip.
These are the SS reel chip numbers that would fit your Sizzling 7's game.
SS3340,SS3341,SS3342,SS3344,
SS6179,
SS7408,SS7409,
SS7675,SS7676,SS7677,
SS7716,SS7717,
SS7803,
SS8764.

The SP1160 test mode 4 works the same way as the SP1271, so if you just turned the key 4 times without pressing the spin button, then the strip seams should line up on the payline.

Please reread the other thread to see how to check for slant top reels (the basket & motor assy)  and/or how to align your strips correctly. Run the second option 4 test I posted there after verifying that the strip positions are correct or after you've fixed them.

Then post back and let us know if those steps solved your issue. propeller
If not, then include the SS number of your chip as well in the post and we'll delve deeper.

The other two sets of reels may be for a SLANT machine....it's not really a huge problem.
To line up S+ upright strips on S+ slant top reels calls for you to make little notches on the strips about one and a half symbols higher. I have since forgotten- it's been awhile...
To get this right on the money, we need some input from the pros and see how they do it.
I HAVE done it myself but it was a lot of trial and error before I got it so the strips lined up perfectly on the payline.
I should have taken a measurement for future references.

You might want to wait for the experts to chime in because I've never had to do this, but the Paytable test option 4 should work.  yes

When you spin the reel baskets to physical stop 1 (turning the key 4 times without pressing the spin button) the baskets will stop at the exact position that needs to put the seams on the payline. If you use that position as a template to determine where the notch on the basket needs to line up with the strip, that should give you the correct spot to make your notch.

You can always put a strip into that position without making the notch to verify it before modifying the strips. The baskets will bulge out slightly where the tab should be (so the strip won't be completely secured) but it will do for a test.

If you plan on buying more kits for your machine, you'll be better off just buying a set of upright reels for it so that you don't need to modify every set of strips that you buy. It shouldn't cost more than $15-$20 for a set of reels.

<EDIT> You can always trade or sell the slant top reels.  propeller
