Maybe your backlit controller is bad. If you have multiple machines, put your reels from the original problem machine into a different one.

It could, yes. It appears you're not getting any juice to the reel bulbs. Important question = are the bulbs dim when idle????

Therefore no power to the reel lights. I'm sure someone else with more experience can stamp my opinion. Wish you had another controller to test with...

I doubt it would be hard to find one. Just post an ad in the classifieds... Staz, have you noticed that at the casinos that more than half of the s2000's have a reel light problem??, frying pan

It annoys the crap outta me! Of course unless I have a nice hit - then who gives a rats ass right?!!?

Glad to hear you're backlit again. Now take a picture when you land all three 5X pay symbols!  wave

Staz, any chance you're using LED bulbs in those reels? Or anything other than the origionals? I ask because I burned a controller trying to switch to LEDs

Faulty cabinet IO card maybe? Or a short in the reel harness/reel assemblies is a possibility also I suppose

Sounds like a harness wire or plug issue

i was affraid of that.... it has to be a royal pain in the ark to take the old harness out and replace it.......so i think my next move is to get a new harness...... if problem continues.....
