Reel glass removal...do I need more wine?

Okay this should be a no-brainier but what's the easiest way to remove my reel glass?
 
I want to replace the denomination label. I see there's three nuts under the frame, where the numeric displays are but it also looks like I could remove the fluorescent bulb and pull the glass up and out. But before I screw things up, I thought I'd ask. I only had two glasses of wine. Should I drink more?

I generally remove the florescent fixture then only use one or two of the nuts when I put it back to make it a little easier in the future

I find that more wine ALWAYS helps me with these things.

In a nutshell, sometimes the display will not come off the reel glass.
sooo....remove the fluorescent lamp 1st, remove the three fluorescent nuts
and lamp holder...store aside or let hanging down.
Now remove the two hardest-to-get-at nuts from under the deck for the display panel.
Undo the two black Molex connectors and let hang down.
Break loose the last, easiest nut with a socket screwdriver then remove it with the
other hand protecting the reel glass from smashing into something.
Tilt back the reel glass and remove both the display that's stuck to the reel glass
and the glass at the same time.

The reason why the reel glass sometimes gets stuck to the display is that the display has a rubber-like pad
around the edge and it likes to semi-permanently stick to the reel glass backing.
If you try to pull it off too fast - you'll rip the vinyl right off the back of the reel glass
and it will never look the same again.
Instead you'll have this annoying "bubble" of black forever on one corner.

I've seen sellers selling reel glass that looks like crap because they just ripped apart the display from the glass
and took off some of the vinyl as well....

Once the glass is removed along with the display.
Gently pry the display away from the reel glass backing.
Using a couple of fingertips...press the vinyl against the reel glass while pulling against the display.
Pressing the vinyl against the glass will help you pull off the display without pulling off the backing.

Why can't it just hinge out like the belly glass???

I did exactly as Bunker instructed and am VERY glad I did. Everything came out exactly as it was written...hmmm - maybe you've had some experience with the S plus???  
The florescent housing came out easily and dangled just fine. Then I removed the trickier three nuts under the display panel and carefully removed the glass and display as a unit. They were stuck together firmly so what I did was lay the glass on my work bench and shove a sock to hold the panel away from the glass. Then I could easily remove the old makeshift 25 cent label (I think it was made by old nuns!) and replace it with the nice IGT 5 cent label. I was amazed how much crap was stuck in the "fold" area. I attached some pictures here to see my highly technical way of doing this.
I blew out all the dirt and debris and then cleaned around the glass are with a Q tip. I carefully taped the new label and thought I had it perfectly aligned...it was a bit off, but I'm a perfectionist. Then I noticed all the other labels were way off so who cares?
When I went to put the glass/display unit back in, it did come apart! But nothing tore...it just came away from the glass. So then I cleaned the entire glass, the plastic display housing, and all around the bulb sockets. Everything was dirty and gummed with tar! Carefully put it all back in and reinstalled the florescent housing. Now I have a real 5 cent machine!

I'll betcha the reel glass was really dirty on the edges of the opening huh? 
That's from years of gunk gathered in there and sticking to the glass.
The machine looks great now with your nickel insert !
