I have had a Munster Match Vision kit for some time now and I would like to install it into one of my standard S2000 round top cabinets. Am I in for a headache in doing so? I have all the parts needed to do so, just may need some guidance.

Thanks,

David

The only real issues I can see are:
The Vision computer mount does not match the top glass layout
If I remember right, computer would either be centered or to the right depending which mount you have (I do not think I have seen any mounted to the left)

Vision compute does not have the Munster Match Application on it, which takes installing 1 or 2 compact flash cards to install.
You install the card or cards in a particular order, then remove them and put them in a safe place in case you have to replace the computer at some point.

I have the computer and the flash cards, and the glass has the right side window, just may need some help with some of the wiring, installing the lcd screen and bracket and set up withe the game chips.

here is what I have so far (see pics), the lcd screen droops down to the right (how do I straighten that up? Can somwone tell me how the lcd screen attaches to the swing out bracket? Looks as if the hinges on the right side need to be attached to the bracket, but how and with what? Perhaps another member send me a picture of the way the bracket attaches to the lcd screen?

Thanks,

David

I guess I am lucky or unlucky that I have never had to mess with a vision.
How I would love to do so! Hint Hint to those that have parts laying around.

Ok, I believe that I have the lcd attached to the bracket correctly now and it is level. As far as the wire harness that is attached to the lcd, how does the other end plug into the backbox? Here is what I have..... (first pic is the other end of the harness, 2nd pic is the back of the lcd) Also, how do I get sound? Looks as if I need to unplug the sound amp harness from the original s2000 game to make room for the lcd harness?

All three of those plug into matching connectors in the left rear of the top box
one or two of connectors in the machine might be occupied

The left connector is the Netplex connection to the top box computer (3 x 3 pin)
The connector in the top box will be occupied if you have a Power Distribution board in the top box.
Look at the Power Dist Board
The 10 pin white connectors are Netplex, there are 5 of them on the Power Dist board. The 2 and 4 pin connectors on it are for power only and a different harness from the right side of machine handles it.
If only one of the 10 pin connectors is used that will be a harness going to the left rear of the top box you may unplug it from the machine (leave it plugged into the Power Dist board)
Then plug in one from the computer into the machine.

The Middle connector is so the sound from the machine can go to the computer
The connector it goes to in the top box is occupied by a harness running to the Amplifier board.
Unplug your speakers harness from the amp and plug them into the matching connector on the computer. it is the second connector from the left (nothing is plugged into it) in your picture.
Bad news you loose sound from tray speaker if you have one.

The Third connector is the RS232 communications between the Machine and the computer
There should be nothing in that connector at the back of the top box.

Note all connectors in your first picture are keyed or indexed enough you cant plug them in wrong.

I hope you have the AC Power wire/cord it plugs into a large connector at the right rear of the top box

Do you have a pic of what the AC/power cord  that plugs into the right rear looks like? I think I have the rest of my connections right.

Thanks,

David

if you mean the 3 plug harness that connects to the power dist, the amp and the bottom rear of the top box, then yes I have it and it is all plugged in correctly. Do I need to install my stepper, SB and version chips before i power it up to see if the lcd is working and connected up right?

The chips I have are:

SB000414
SG 1&2 000123
Version VS009VXO

Ok, looks as if everything turned out right, thanks for the help guys. I only have a few issues:

Since I do not have the 5 reel payline glass, i am having to use a standard reel glass

Also it looks as if i need to have a 5 reel light harness hooked up because my wins, credits and coins played display is a little funky

One of the posts said that I will no longer get any sounds from my bottom speaker (no base) is there anyway to get the bottom speaker to work?

I noticed in the set up mode that there is a setting for base, I adjusted that up a little but can't tell a difference

Thamls again for the help on this

I am too interested in this mod.. especially the munster kit in general. Can you post pics of final results and possibly a video for others to enjoy?
Thanks!

A few pics, Herman and Jeannie side by side. Guess I'll be looking  for a long style 5 credit payline glass and light harness to match the rest of the machine if someone has one available. Why is there not a paytable on this machine like every other slot machine?

I think that the original vision machines had a button on the button deck that said "PAYTABLE," and it would come up on the top LCD screen.

Looks good!

So can I install a button where the multi denom would go on the deck and use that for the paytable button?

I think that is what the 4 spade connectors that are between the Spin and Bet one Buttons is used for
There is button blanking plate between Spin and Bet one as well.
It is Labeled See Pays/Help in the diagrams for the deck

So move your mutl denom button to that location or add a button and switch if you have extra one.
just match wire placement on the newly installed switch.
