Hi,
I have a CDS Reel Deal poker machine with a DVB-145-SH ID004-L4 V3.00-05 Also has a tag with LRSA-SBBO on the JCM bill head.
How would I go about, and what do I need, to make this this machine work, so that it will take all new bills.
Any advise, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Is there anyone out there, that is familiar with converting the CDS machines?

You'll probably need to update to a newer model DBV, I don't beleive the 145 can do what you want. On the IGT versions they weren't supported to the newer bills and I would think that includes 145's for all manufacturers and platforms

Thank you for your reply.
I have updated my Williams slots from the DBV-145 head. They all required the DBV-200 head. I assume, that is what might be needed for my CDS machine. I just don't understand what software ID version is needed (022/023, 044/045?). Or something else? Also, I was wondering if the same chip that I used in my Williams machines would work in a DBV-200, if that is what would work in a CDS machine. The checksum is 0297AA03. Does anybody have an answer?

DBV 200 should work for you though maybe not for the new colored $5. Software I think is specific to the platform it written for, IGT, Williams, Bally, etc. You might look into maybe going to a WBA or something newer if it's available

Everything I can find on the JCM site says that CDS uses ID-004 protocol. That being said, the newest software available for a DBV-200 is version V2.60-05 that was made in Sep 2005. It will accept all large portrait bills and Next Gen (colored notes) for $10, $20 and $50. The head should be a direct replacement for the DBV-145 and you need a model DBV-200 SH.

WMS would use ID-044/045W. You can check protocols on the JCM web site at this link http://jcmglobal.com/en/support/downloads/protocols.aspx
