Hi Andy,
Welcome to New Life Games!
Personally I work with IGT S+'s and I don't know a thing about Aristocrats...however,there a few guys that own those machines and you have to just hold on a bit until they get a chance to see your post and I'm sure that they'll chime in and be more than happy to help ya out....one thing for sure, you'll get help from this website before Aristocrat Technologies  (If ever) calls you back. Game makers are notorious for neglecting the home owners support-wise. Keep checking back in on this post for answers. Meanwhile, as a new member, feel free to browse the website in the archived posts. Try using the "search" by typing in Aristocrat ram clear" and see what you get...you may be surprised in what you'll find here!

Thanks stayouttadabunker

After having a good read I see most here are avid collecters of slots. Hopefully Ari will get back to me as we have 1000's of the machines in our casino's, and if they want to sell some MK7's! I am testing them for suitablility and they are fairly new to Aus, so even the ARI reps here dont really know a lot about them yet, hence the reason I asked here.

Cheers...

Andy.

hoppy,

The mark 7 is way different to previous models, the main difference being that it is PC based. The now use linux rather than the their own OS. Games are now supplied as a compact flash with a smart card (looks like a phone SIM) as opposed to EPROMS.

The games are exactly the same except for a few graphic changes.

hi there this is probably to late but if this will help in future i'll mention it we just got the Mk 7 in our casino about 2 months ago and if its just to clear the finance and error  meters we change the machine number or something in the game options setup save and then change it back, it clears all the data but keeps all the other settings.
this works for Mk6 and xcite too

Cheers. I had forgotten all about this thread. Funny enough, Ari still have not got back to me. I need to get a casino tech in to fix a mk6 touch screen for me soon, so I will ask them how they do it.

Remove the batteries from the processor and leave out for 10 minutes.  Refit the batteries and the cpu card, leave the processor cage open and main door open.  Power up the machine and wait until the program comes up with memory error.  Turn the audit key and down the bottom of the screen it will tell you to press the TakeWin and Bet1 buttons together.  The RAM clear screen will then appear.
