Life is too short, live, love and have a good time

« on: February 12, 2009, 07:49:47 AM »

I now get validater sounds on start up.  I  have (2) 802 multi IOs installed. One has one yellow light on and the 2nd has 2 yellow leds on.   I am told by one source that this is normal and then by another that this indicates a problem.  Anyone have experience with this.
Also, when turning on the machine the GameKing enhanced 044 board's yellow and green lights all go on. I get a ticking sound from the monitor after the degaussing circuit sound, but no flashes and no light whatsoever comes from the monitor.  Even more interesting is that when I disconnect the power from the monitor and turn the machine on, only the green leds on the 044 processor light up.  I am told there will be no buttons lit until the machine is set up.  The monitor I am using is a 19" Ceronix 2093 which came with the machine.  Could it be in compatible with the upgrade?  I was told that this upgrade is usaully used with an LCD monitor, but that the pinouts are the same as for the tube and that although not tested, it should work. Anybody have any ideas on what is going on with this machine?

Thanks,
Eric

Well the monitor problem is solved.  The old GameKings with the 038 processors and the i/O's that are in a pull out tray have monitors that run on 220V while the newer GameKing/iGame plus and deluxe models  use monitors that run on 110V.  I am currently rigging up two cables that will connect  a voltage Up-converter and allow the monitor to work.
