When I put a nickel in cc reads it fine and drops into hopper.   Can not get the penny to work.  Just pass out to tray.

Try adj. the sensitivity to (-) or less sensitive...Also, use identical penny's (one in the CC and try dropping the same year and see what happens)...Not all pennies are created equal!
