I am wondering if it is possible and what would I need. I have an S2000 double diamond slot but it is running the SB001000 and S+ chip.  If I get all of the parts will the reels work correctly?  I assume that I will need, backlit reel strips, backlit reels, controller board, different wiring to reels.  Anything else I might need?

Thanks
Gary

you would need:
Backlit reels
backlit reel strips Iif you don't already have them)
backlit reel harness
backlit control board
cable from backlit board to cabinet i/o
sb chip for double diamond

installation is fairly simple

I have the strips already.  Would I have to upgrade the SB to the S2000 version?

According to this, yes, but that's no biggie ($10-12??). Overall you are looking at around $80 to complete the upgrade. We sell the backlit reel conversion kits on eBay for $70 (free ship I believe) and that includes everything listed above.

 Hijack Hijack

Uh oh...I wasn't trying to hijack the thread. Just wanted to give an idea of the cost.

(But the price I quoted includes shipping.)

Jjslots set me up with a kits.   Very easy to install.  Make sure you reel strips are correct.   If you look at the back kf them they should be black except where the symbols are.

On a S 2000  SB Base Chip
                   SG  Game Chip
BV  Bill Valiator  ( paper money )
                   PS  Power Supply
                   F/U   That's what I am !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back lit is a piece of cake, OK Wild Cherry has a problem. one thing you have to realize is this site is full of nit pickers, if it's not perfect they bitch. Wild Cherry isn't perfect but if you install back lit I'm sure you will like it, unless your a nit picker.

Thanks man that is going to help a ton. Good bunch of people on this site think I lucked out finding it Smiley na I think it would be cool just to have lit up reels. If it doesn't light the Wild Cherry up above or below the pay line o well. As long as it works like it susposed to as far a the payout.
