1.Can you mix e-proms from different chipsets ? ie: GKv4.0 pixel chip 1, game chip 1, sound chip 1
  w GKv4.3 pixel chipgame chip 2, sound chip

2.Can different base chips be used w other chipsets ? Its needed to change machine limits .

3.Is it difficult or possible to upgrade a machine from a 3902 mpu to a 044 mpu ?

4.Do the machines and motherboards have the same connections/ headers ?

5.Any recommendations for sites to purchase legal e-proms, Ive seached for hours for 5.0 software?

6.Can a players edge plus be converted to a game king or any other multi-denom muli-game
  by switching the motherboards or other hardware ?

6: No, the Player's Edge Plus cannot be upgraded to a Game King. There are a limited number of Multi Game options for the PE+, but the machine does not support multi-denom.

#3 i am assuming he meant 3902 to 044, so actually can be done, at least on the ones I got from slotsteve. but you need to change the Motherboard, MPU and will need a game on the flash board or an adaptor that will accept the 3902 games.
