 :59-I just got a 5 cent bally em tag says 956-22 and 956-918 the problem I'm having is the hopper wont come out is there any trick to removing the hopper ?? and inside the hopper where the nickles are is this black sticky stuff like the consistency of silly putty i took pics of it and will post but how do i get it cleaned out ,and one more thing the lights on the payout glass that register each coin you put in use to work but stopped ,this is my first slot my dad gave me it was sitting in his garage for years ,it does work and pays out but has issues and i need a lock assembly had to drill out to open ....any help would be appreciated thanks

Hi and.  NLG Welcome

That black sticky thing stirs the coins. If your looking for old Bally parts then you need Barry Fox at Foxsslots. He will have your lock and hopper star. Look down towards the bottom of the home page and click his link under Sponcers. As for the hopper it's just being stubborn. They should just slide out forward. Grab it and give it a hard tug or wiggle it. Should come out. Then dump out your coins to change the star. A putty knife and and solvent will clean it up for the new part

If it's jammed, force it... If it breaks it needed to be replaced anyway...

i got the hopper out and removed the plate ,so i have to clean all that goop off then get a new star and lock plus i found a blown fuse which is probably for the front light on the coin pay out glass ...thanks for your help
